Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Medicated Lip Balm for Fall 2013

Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Medicated Lip Balm

We had regular, we had LE, we had neon, now we get medicated! The new Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Mediated Lip Balm are a new formula of a beloved cult favorite lip balm that will become available later this Fall.

As you know I’m not a huge fan of Maybelline Baby Lips but I become a little curious when they mentioned a medicated formula. Hmmm cure for my Winter chapped lips?

And color too?

Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Medicated Lip Balm are a soothing balm with eucalyptus to combat dry, sore lips while providing a hint of tint. Supposedly the formula provides up to 12 hours of moisture and lips will feel and look less dry within a week of use.

Shades:

  • Pink Me Up
  • Soothing Sorbet
  • Too Cool
  • Just Peachy
  • Coral Crave
  • Berry Soft

Are you a Baby Lips fan?

Will you be picking up these medicated ones?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I have my fingers crossed for these. I love the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment, but it is too pricey for a lip balm- at least the way I go through them! If the “Soothing Sorbet” is close, I’m sold!

I know they are just lip balms, but I really really really like the Baby Lips line. When these become available, I will probably pick up all six. I’ve bought all of ’em thus far, with the exception of the neon yellow and neon green.

I haven’t tried the Baby Lips yet, but this looks very promising for winter! I think I’ll be getting one of these! 🙂

I own all of the previously released Baby Lips and I like the ones without the SPF more. I found that the texture was off on the original releases. I hope these are good but I find that medicated lip balms sometimes have a bad taste or a cloyingly bad scent.

I have so much hope for the white shade of these, Too Cool. I used to be an addict of Burt’s Bees Lifeguard’s Choice, which was a semi-opaque white lip balm. Burt’s Bees discontinued the line over a year ago, and I was left without my only choice of lip balm. Fast forward to now–with all my might, I am praying that Too Cool, or even Just Peachy, will at least be semi-opaque so that I can finally have a lip balm that helps to disguise my firetruck red lips.

Essence has a glossy balm like that if you are interested! It’s called the Essence Glossy Balm in Juicy Melon. It IS a hydrating semi opaque white gloss with an almost duo helmet pink shimmer and it DOES taste like melons! XD Cheap as old day chips and washes my lips out but it might help you!

Oh you made my day with this one! I really like the baby lips line so ill be picking up 1 or 2 of these….

Wish these had SPF but I like that these are tinted and eucalyptus is an added treat. The first one I tired was the Allure best of beauty winner! The blue one, I felt like I was applying it more often. For the price its worth a try!

This packaging really reminds me of Asian brands, also Dream Bouncy blush – the phrase reminds me of something you’d see on Asian cosmetics — Muse, do you think Maybelline is trying to imitate fun Asian packaging?

    • the Muse

isn’t the US always trying to mimic what Asia has already had/released/etc? 🙂

JUST grabbed “Pink Me Up” from my local Harmon Beauty store today.

I’m in love. Silky smooth application + killer moisture + Burt’s Bee’sque flavoring = FABULOUS!!
