New Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil Light

Josie Maran 100 Pure Argan Oil Light

Slash calories with the new lighter Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil Light ($48)! No seriously, this is a light version of Josie’s popular 100% Pure Argan Oil (not completely calorie free mind you but it is considerably lighter than the original formula).

What?

Why do you need another version of Argan Oil?

Well that’s simple…

I’ve personally always wanted a lightweight version of Argan Oil I could wear in the day as at the moment no way, no how can I step outside my home with Josie’s Argan Oil on my face! Although it absorbs quickly it’s a little too slick and moisturizing for daily use even on my dry skin. I love the idea of a lighter version!

The new Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil Light promises to be ultralight but still promises the same results as the original. Supposedly it offers intense moisture with a semi-matte finish and actually reduces reduces sebum production making it a more ideal pick for those with blemish-prone and sensitive skin.

Interesting eh?

It’s available now at Sephora and Sephora.com

What do you think of a lighter version of Argan Oil?

I’m confused, I thought this product is used for hair?

nope it’s for your skin although i don’t see the harm in applying to your hair if you want but it is formulated meant for your face/body.

Muse! First, welcome back from vacation – we missed you! Second, I LOVE this stuff…just received a deluxe sample w/my Sephora order. I use it at night because my skin is a bit oily on its own. It’s a nice light oil that absorbs quickly and leaves my skin hydrated and soft. I’ve never tried JM’s regular Argan Oil so I can’t compare the two but next time I’m in Sephora I’ll test away to see how they differ!

I got the sun kit from Sephora that they come out with every yr. The original argan oil was in it-Josie’s. Hated it. Read amazing reviews, but felt greasy on my skin for day time use. This one sounds much better. I don’t like waiting all day for products to soak into my skin.

I put a deluxe sample of this in my cart on my last order (That also contains a really expensive mask, touche eclat, and chemical peel pads, apparently I’m feeling old right now and trying to deal with it).

Can’t wait to try it, but I don’t really have my hopes up, the regular josie maran argan oil without a breakout.

Yay you’re back!! I was having muse withdrawal :)

I’m interested in this too. I love Argan oil, but like you, can’t use it during the day. Hope this delivers. Wish it were cheaper though, she’s on the high end for a relatively cheap product.

I wonder how they can make the oil lighter without cutting it with a lighter oil or filtered it even more..

You know what I find most entertaining about the Argan Oil craze is that argan oil goes rancid when exposed to air. Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice product, but it sure doesn’t live up to the claims that Josie Maran pushes…she has no research to back up her million claims of awesomeness.

I’m willing to try her products, I just know most of it is pure hype.

Lisa, one thing you can do to keep the oil preserved is keep it refrigerated. Also store it in a dark non-see-through container. Most oils can loss their effectiveness when exposed to sunlight. Hope that helps!

I’m an oily skin girl and the original argan oil would just sit on the top of my skin. When I would use it only at night (which I have to cuz there is NO WAY I can wear makeup over that oil slick) it would stain my pillows with oil. My skin does not “drink it in” like Josie says – but I don’t have a patch of dry skin on me anywhere.

I’m VERY happy that this is light.
