Origins Smarty Plants CC SPF 20 Skin Complexion Corrector for Fall 2013

Origins Smarty Plants CC SPF 20 Skin Complexion Corrector

Origins why you such a smart plants err smart pants with your new CC Cream? Origins Smarty Plants CC SPF 20 Skin Complexion Corrector is possibly the best named product of the season for me. Seriously, I smiled a little.

You know you did too.

Love that corny factor.

With CC Creams taking the Fall season by storm we’re bound to see more and more brands introducing their own formulations and one wonders how Origins Smarty Plants CC SPF 20 Skin Complexion Corrector will turn out?

Origins Smarty Plants CC SPF 20 Skin Complexion Corrector ($35) will be available in a Light to Medium and Medium to Dark shade selection and promises a color correcting formula that perfects skin. The shades actually have an intuitive color corrector which evens out skin tone while protecting it from sun rays with a built in SPF 20. The antioxidant rich formula helps to neutralize skin damages and giving skin a soft, hydrated finish.

I haven’t personally tried it but I’m quite honestly curious about it. CC Creams have been on my radar for a while now and I’ve found some incredible ones I love from Korea but I have found the ones popping up here in the US are a little different in comparison. These formula seems to be a beefier more pigmented version of BB Cream here in the US where as Korea is relying on more of a lighter formulation in reverse with the more pigmented, richer texture of a BB.

Origins new Smart Plants CC Cream is available now at both Sephora and Sephora.com

What do you think?

I went into Origins this weekend to try it out. I was sad it was a CC cream – as I hear CC Creams are for more coverage – and I like a very light coverage.

Anyway – I have light tanned olive skin. The med/dark was too dark and the light/med wasn’t anywhere near medium it was full on light and kind of porcelein. It showed whites in the cracks of my skin. They gave me two samples of both – I think I will mix them.

Even the SA said the light was too light and that it’s too bad there wasn’t a more medium shade. (even before I tried it out)

it’s actually supposed to be lighter coverage with more correcting abilities but for some reason US CC Creams are beefier formulas and have more pigmentation SO weird ;-D if you want something lighter/correcting you might want to check out Korea CC Creams ;-D awww that sucks 🙁 sigh!
