Shiseido Sheer & Perfect Foundation for Fall 2013

Shiseido Sheer & Perfect Foundation

As an avid fan of Shiseido Perfect Refining Foundation I’m quite excited to bring news of the new Shiseido Sheer & Perfect Foundation launching this Fall. Many brands have tried but none other than Shiseido have succeeded at creating a near perfect skin finish with Perfect Refining Foundation.

Products like Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra Light Skin Perfecting Makeup, Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfect Makeup, and Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup have all been great and some like LOreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder and Givenchy Eclat Matissime Fluid Foundation Airy-Light Mat Radiance but NONE are as awesome as Perfect Refining Foundation.

This is why I’m positive I’m going to love the new Sheer & Perfect Foundation!

Shiseido Sheer & Perfect Foundation ($35) arrives on counters just in time for Fall in a range of 18 shades. This foundation is formulated with an SPF 18 and promises a long lasting finish designed to reduce the appearance of pores, blemishes, and redness while bringing out the natural beauty of your own skin with an optical powder to ensure a smooth, flawless and lightweight finish.

I picture it being water based (I haven’t tried it so I’m assuming) much like Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra Light Skin Perfecting Makeup but with the pigmentation and light, weightless feel of Perfect Refining Foundation.

Shiseido excels at creating excellent foundation products that not only created flawness but more of a natural refined finish which gives you the benefit of your own skin just in a better light.

I’m really excited to try this and look forward to hitting up a counter soon!

Anyone try?

How are the shades in this line in general? I have trouble finding a pink undertone foundation in pale as paper shade. Does Shiseido run yellow?

I don’t know about this line Robin but the refining line has good pink undertone shades.

I have a problem with very light shades running yellow in most lines. However, I generally find anything from Shiseido in a B00 (very light beige) color works well and trends toward a pink undertone for very light skin. I would stay away from anything in their Ivory color grouping as it tends to be very yellow based.

Thank you both!! B00 sounds about right; I’m pale as a ghost. 😀

Will check for the Redefining line this weekend.

I just tested this out the other day. It is fantastic but has very very light coverage. It comes in what appeared to be a pretty large range of shades, with a lot of tonal choices in the lighter end of the spectrum. The consistency and feeling/finish of it was somewhere between the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua and the Armani Maestro. It is not as drying as the Chanel but didn’t have the unique volatile oil feel of the Armani. I loved the finish – it was more even and “refined” than a tinted moisturizer. Definitely a must-try and for me a buy!

I bought this foundation two weeks ago and I love it. It is runny like Perfect Refining Foundation but it goes on a lot more sheer. I found the perfect shade (I60). It lasts pretty long and covers imperfections. In some way I prefer this to the Perfect Refining foundation.

I don’t like this I’m sorry :X I ended up returning it. Very very very little coverage, I’m talking sheer to light coverage. Like Mac face and body coverage. And what little coverage it gave seemed to disappear in less than 4 hours. No likey.

🙁 boo! we typically like the same everything (including men haha) so I guess it is a skip!

You should try the sun protection liquid foundation. It has light medium coverage, very liquidy, feels like your wearing nothing, sweatproof and very long lasting, and has spf 42 instead of only 18.

    Review on this soon? I want to know if it is more moisturizing for the Fall/Winter than the original. The original is my HG, but recently my skin has been flaky and dry ;_;

Have this! Got 2 shades I20 and B20. Sheer and natural finish, good for everyday wear but they dont cover the imperfections nicely, but what I like is that it gives the face a healthy glow.

I have another Shiseido foundation, the Radiant Lifting foundation. Not bad too.
