The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil Review
The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil ($18) is a brand new cleansing oil that just launched from the brand. In fact, I believe it’s the first cleansing oil that the Body Shop has every done.
Recently the Body Shop has been some new skincare essentials and the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil happens to be one!
The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil is on sale at the moment for $13.50 and at that price it might kinda sorta be worth a purchase. I didn’t really love it in all honesty.
It doesn’t strip my skin nor does it make it tight and it has a pleasant lemony floral scent that’s quite subtle. It’s a thicker cleansing oil which is meant to be massaged all over a dry face full of makeup. Simply massage on, add a little water to emulsify, massage a bit more, and rinse. It actually doesn’t really emulsify at all….it kinda just thins out when water is applied. I didn’t feel like it did a great job of removing my makeup but it did a good one. It won’t really removed waterproof makeup and might leave bits of mascara and other makeup behind so a double cleanse is recommended.
I typically get a bit lazy in the evening so I don’t always double cleanse and rely on my cleansing oil to remove all my makeup in a single go. I don’t feel comfortably relying on this formula to do that for me as it leaves a bit behind.
You might not mind it if you’re regime includes double cleansing your face but you might feel like me about it if you’re relying on the cleasing oil to get it all off without the unnecessary step of following up with foaming cleanser.
It’s available now at The Body Shop.
