The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Review

The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover

The wait is over, The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover ($15.50, 5 oz) is now available. Praise the eye makeup remover gods! Finally the Body Shop has created a waterproof version of their popular Camomile Eye Makeup Remover.

We’re not worthy, we’re not worthy.

So when I heard the Body Shop was launching a new Camomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover I was all over it.

Here’s what I thought.

The original formula does an ok job with eye makeup. It’s pretty gentle, has a sudsy formula, and does ok with removing eye makeup but not necessarily waterproof mascara.

But I admit I was pretty hyped when I heard about the improved Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover version!

Marketed as a way to remove not only waterproof eye makeup but also lip products as well this gentle eye makeup remover is a bi-phase formula that’s alcohol-free (yay no dryness after use) as well as fragrance-free. According to the Body Shop even sensitive and contact lens wearers will find the formula gentle enough to use.

It doesn’t give me trippy cloudy vision after use nor does it leave my eyes feeling greasy. It swipes away MOST makeup but I did notice it left traces of waterproof mascara behind. So I’d say it removes about 85-90% off your eye makeup with a bit left over that will need to be cleansed off when you wash your face.

If you’re paying the full $15.50 price tag I’d say it’s a bit expensive for the way it performs however, if you can get it on sale at around maybe $7-$8 it MIGHT be worthy of a pick up if you don’t use a ton of eye makeup.

Personally I’ll probably just stick to my Sephora Eye Makeup Remover. I prefer an eye makeup remover that gets it ALL off.

Anyone try it?

Thanks for the review and saving me some bucks. I too like the sephora waterproof remover best for eye makeup. I think its up to $9.50 now? I don’t care, a bottle lasts me 2-3 months and I feel it’s gets all my eye makeup off…..and yet I’m always wanting to try others.

I have the most sensitive eyes ever and I have to tell you this product was sent by the universe to me personally (not to be too egotistical or anything 😛 ). I have the unfortunate problem of wake up puffy eyes under two conditions: 1. I still have ANY amount of makeup left over on my eyes or 2. I’ve used a makeup remover that makes my eyes go NOOOOOOOOOOO. This product makes me wake up in the morning with eyes that are the least puff they have ever been. So yeah. For the sensitive eyed people out there 😛

Thanks for the review. I don’t know how hard to remove the colorstay eyeliner is rated, but Nivea waterproof eye makeup remover did it 100% for me. It was only CND$8 and lasted me almost a year!

Have this! I have the Laneige, Silkygirl and The Faceshop Lip and Eye makeup removers too. I like the Laneige one best. This Bodyshop Waterproof eye and lip makeup remover costs BND 17.90 here.
