Clinique Discolourations SuperPrimer Face Primer

Clinique Discolourations SuperPrimer Face Primer is one of six new face primers formulas that Clinique recently launched. These new primers aren’t only prep for makeup but are also tinted for color correcting benefits as well. The discolourations formula is a peach shade which benefits uneven skin tone and darkness.

Let’s look at the discolourations formula.

Clinique Discolourations SuperPrimer Face Primer is a light shade of peach which addresses discolorations on skin or unevenness. Thus far I’ve tried a few of these primers and have been disappointed with the tint being so subtle. The discolorations formula is actually the only formula that’s worked for me so far. It doesn’t actually even out my complexion or take care of darkness but it just gives a brighter appearance. I admit I’ve even gone so far as to use it alone sans any foundation on top as it gives a nice natural finish to my skin. It is however, a little disappointing if you expect it to even out your skin tone completely as it is a little subtly tinted to do that.

Apply a small amount of the primer to prep skin and follow up with foundation. It has a soft creamy texture that dries down to a powdery feel. It is silicone based but it isn’t itchy or uncomfortable and it will provide a matte finish but that doesn’t accentuate drier areas in the least. I find it blurs the appearance of the smaller pores on my nose well and lays a good canvas for my makeup to adhere to.

Clinique Discolourations SuperPrimer Face Primer Swatches

The Clinique Discolourations SuperPrimer Face Primer was one of the best formulas in this release. I liked how my face looked wearing it and felt like it gave me a nice natural appearance even without the addition of foundation. However, it still is a little too subtle to offer major correcting abilities.

Tried it?

I use Clinique foundation so I’m really interested in trying these primers. Is there a particular way to apply them and then the foundation?

Bought the new Benefit one but I don’t like using my fingers for foundation. In their video she uses a brush but the box says not to. So I haven’t used it yet.

i use my fingers to apply cookie 🙂 no real method to my madness just smooth it on and apply my foundation!

Wait, you say “Apply foundation first and after you can apply a small amount of the primer to prep skin.” So this a primer that goes over foundation?

I always end up taking off whatever I put on under foundation. Did you find that to the case with this?

I might give this a shot. I’m always wary of silicone primers and when someone compared this line to Smashbox primers I didn’t give it another glance (Smashbox primers REALLY don’t work for me).

However, Clinique formulations have never irritated my skin–it may have oxidized on me but irritation has never happened. So I might change my mind if you like it.

I got this primer as a sample and loved it BUT it made my face bumpy for some reason, I have very sensitive kin so I dare say this has a chemical in it not o suitable for my sensitive skin type? or? did anyone else have this problem? I am usually okay with primers, I have been using the Too Faced Hangover primer and that is GOD SEND <3
