Kat Von D Ladybird True Romance Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
The Kat Von D Ladybird True Romance Eyeshadow Palette ($36) released several months ago so this is kinda a late review. But the palette makes an appearance in my Fall rotation so I decided to finally swatch it and give the Muse Approval as this is a stunning little shadow palette everyone must own.
The Kat Von D Ladybird True Romance Eyeshadow Palette is the first all matte eyeshadow palette available in the True Romance Palette Collection. It comes in a new revamped plastic palette with a snap to close lid and a eight shadows plus a Autograph Pencil Eyeliner.
Far be to from me, self proclaimed naysayer of matte shadows everywhere, to pimp, promote, and even LOVE an all matte shadow palette but I honestly can say this is a palette you’ll want to own.
These shadows are packed with pigment and are essential shades for creating warm, sultry looks for Fall. They have a soft, buttery texture with a super saturated color pay off that blends easily, wears well, and looks incredible on eyelids.
Shades include:
- Für Elise
- Vespertine
- Renholdër
- Siouxsie-sioux
- Unrequited
- Harlow
- Wölf
- Cleopatra
Siouxsie-sioux, Renholdër, Vespertine, Für Elise
Cleopatra, Wölf, Harlow, Unrequited
As much as I love True Romance Palettes I do find some of the shades (or even most) are very frosty or sometimes they contain a bit too much shimmer/glitter so Ladybird is a refreshing change. These colors are packed with pigment and have an easy blend formula that applies with very minimal fuss and fall out plus no frost, no shimmer, and no sparkly mess just pure beautiful matte shades. I typically dislike mattes but these were so very easy to work with and didn’t feel dry or apply patchy and they wore very strong without losing their intensity as the day progressed.
If you love warmer shades and matte ones I’d say this is a must have.
I’ve been wearing it since the cooler Fall weather set in and doing some great autumn eyes with it!
Muse Approved.
It’s available at Sephora and Sephora.com
