Lavshuca Candy Bon Bon Lipstick Review & Swatches
Lavshuca Candy Bon Bon Lipstick is a new mini lipstick launched in Japan for Fall 2013. Lavashuca Candy Bon Bon Lipstick kinda feels like a relaunch of Lavshuca Jewel Lipstick to me.
I recently purchased the three main finishes that this collection offers and I thought I’d review each finish separately as each offers a different formula and texture.
Let’s take a look!
This is the Lavshuca Candy Bon Bon Lipstick color finish which is one of the three formulas available in this lipstick. They also offer the lipstick in a shiny and translucent version (I’ll review those shortly). Supposedly these are formulated with silk and almond oil but neither ingredient lends any real moisture to the color formula.
Each lipstick is a tiny travel friendly tube. It’s about half the size or less of a full lipstick in packaging size. Contents is actually 1.7 g or 0.05 oz of lipstick so you’re getting small all around. I don’t mind the size so much simply because I personally have plenty of lipsticks so a smaller size is welcome as I feel I can get through an entire tube faster plus they are so easy to travel with.
The tube is adorable to say the least in both size and style. Lavshuca packages the color lipsticks in a translucent red barrel which kinda reminds me of Valentine’s Day for some reason.
I hauled the shade RD-2 which is a light dusky rose pink. Contrary to the name they have no flavor or scent so you aren’t going to get a candy flavor or fragrance here.
I personally dislike the formula. Just like the small Jewel Lipsticks that Lavshuca released a few years ago these aren’t terribly hydrating. I feel like they tug a bit when applied. The are lightweight and wear comfortably without migrating or feathering. I just don’t really like the texture. I prefer something creamier with more moisture and these seem to lack that.
I’m hopeful the shiny and translucent formula proves a better option!
These are a very affordable and close to retail price ($10.95 each) from AlphaBeautyUK on E-bay.
Anyone try them?
