Lavshuca Shiny Candy Bon Bon Lipstick Review & Swatches
You might recall I recently reviewed the Lavshuca Candy Bon Bon Lipstick for you which I didn’t really love. The lipstick is available in three shade types and I was hopeful that the shiny type would a formula I enjoyed since I found the regular color type wasn’t exactly to my liking.
Did I like Lavshuca Shiny Candy Bon Bon Lipstick?
Naaaa! Lavshuca Shiny Candy Bon Bon Lipstick is just as dry as the color formula so I’m pretty disappointed. I expected lighter color with a more moisturizing and shiny finish however, this has a drier texture with a satiny finish that doesn’t look terribly great on my lips less I apply a bit of clear gloss.
The lipsticks come in a tiny travel friendly and easy to store tube that’s about half the size of a full size lipstick packaging wise. The contents are 1.7 g or 0.05 oz so you’re getting smaller everything here. I don’t mind so much as I have SO many lipsticks to get through a smaller size might just allow me to actually use through it for once! You can see a photo of size comparisons by clicking here.
I find the packaging adorable and not much different from the lipsticks that Lavshuca had released several years ago.
I feel the formula tugs a fair bit when applied and the drier texture accentuates every single dry and lined area of my mouth. We all have natural lines around our mouths and this just emphasizes those lines and tends to get caught on drier skin if you have any. I don’t particularly love the texture and feel it’s heavier and sucking moisture from my lips. It’s surprising as Japanese lipstick products typically have a gorgeous glide with a moist feel. For my look below using the shade RD-3 I used a bit of clear gloss to make the color more wearable as without it looks terrible!
I also purchased the translucent formula which is the third and final finish of the product but I suspect it’ll be just as bad as the two I already tried.
I got these directly from Japan but AlphaBeautyUK on E-bay sells them at close to retail price for $10.95 each.
