Take a peek!
I absolutely adore Lorac’s little sets and kits and there’s no exception with the Lorac Pro To Go Professional Eye Collection. Now…I will say for long time fans of the brand the colors in this collection might be a little repetitive as I do see a shade or two that’s very similiar to pass releases like the Lorac Private Affair Eyeshadow Palette as well as the Lorac Pro Palette.
Outside of the similarities in the eyeshadow colors this is a nice intro set for folks who haven’t really dipped their toes in the Lorac pool.
You get a nice black leather clutch with your purchase which doubles up as a makeup roll of sorts as it contains a mirror and tiny little pockets to hold all of the contents of the set. So if you’re off on a trip to Vegas for the weekend or elsewhere this houses all the essentials to create a sultry eye look!
Inside you’ll find a Pro To Go Eyeshadow Palette with four eyeshadows in Ivory, Rose, Spice, and Aubergine. Lorac’s eyeshadows typically have a very light, silky feel. They blend easily onto lids and create a lovely wash of color. I typically recommend eyeshadow primer with Lorac’s formula as it intensifies the pigment of the shades and allows them to wear longer as due to their thinner texture they sometimes wear away as the day progresses so give them something good to adhere to and you’ll be fine for all day wear. Typically I find Lorac eyeshadow is fantastic on aging or finely lined eyes as it’s so soft and delicate without overpowering your look with too much pigment or a cakey texture.
Also included in the set are three very handy Pro Brushes. You get a liner brush, eyeshadow brush, and blending brush. These have strong handles, soft yet dense bristles, and are shed free. They basically give you all the essentials you’ll need to create an eye look so if you’re traveling you won’t have to be overwhelmed with what eyeshadow brushes to take with you. This includes three basic and essential brushes.
You’ll also get a Lorac Pro Mascara which is a full size. This has a tapered design and a heavy black pigmentation. The formula is very light and creates fluttery length with a fair bit of volume as well. I didn’t experience issues with it smudging, fading, or flaky and it wore strongly all day. I’m sorry but I somehow misplaced the before and after images using this and will update this post later today to show photos.
Overall, the Lorac Pro To Go Professional Eye Collection is a perfect selection of products to travel with. The shades in the quad will be repetitive for fans of the Lorac brand but this is a perfect intro set for those who are newer fans. Or even if you just want a basic set to travel with this is an essential selection to create a lovely sultry look without a ton of effort or know how.
It’s available now exclusively at Ulta and Ulta.com
