Marc Jacobs Beauty Lip Lock Moisture Balm Review

Marc Jacobs Beauty Lip Lock Moisture Balm 1

Marc Jacobs Beauty Lip Lock Moisture Balm ($24) is a new buttery lip balm that launched with Marc Jacobs new makeup collection. I’m terrible about touching up my gloss and lipstick as the day progresses but I chronically apply lip balm every minute on the minute so I keep a few in my desk drawer at work and of course, on my night stand, vanity, and even on top of my desk while I work.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Lip Lock Moisture Balm is expensive but if you like products like Fresh Lip Treatment you’re bound to adore this stuff.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Lip Lock Moisture Balm

If anything at all Marc Jacobs Beauty Lip Lock Moisture Balm is actually better than Fresh Lip Treatment but unfortunately you’re forgoing the tint for the extra moisture here. So if you want tint in your balm this isn’t going to be something you love.

I strongly advise against ordering this online if you live in a hot, humid environment or during the Summer months as it’ll arrive a melted mess.

This comes in a simple, understated black and silver tube. The cap actually screws on and off so don’t attempt pulling the cap off, you have to unscrew it. And be sure to screw it back on once you’re done! Be aware of where you store it and how you travel with it because again, it will melt…I don’t suggest tossing it in your tote, leaving said tote in the car for a few hours….you get my meaning I’m sure 🙂

It contains an SPF 18 and is made from exotic oils and butters such as shea, avocado, andiroba, etc…! Some might call it a glorified chapstick but try it once and you’ll see it’s any but.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Lip Lock Moisture Balm 3

This is a buttery balm that glides onto lips easily and leaves behind a lightweight highly moisturizing film across lips. It feels luxurious on and keeps lips smooth, soft, and supple. Application daily will likely heal drier lips and prevent chapped ones from occurring. It’s very emollient so it melts as you apply and leaves behind a high sheen. It has a subtle minty taste which isn’t overpowering. I liked how soft my lips felt during the wear and well after it wore away my lips still felt smooth and hydrated.

Overall, Marc Jacobs Beauty Lip Lock Moisture Balm is pricey but well worth that extra dollar in my opinion! If you suffer from chronic dry lips this is one balm you should have it around.

Likey!

I really want to try this! I love the FRESH ones, and I apply lip balm every hr. I read reviews on Sephora and it was given extremely high ratings or extremely low ratings.

I’ve been impressed with his line so far. Marc’s favorite products are the lip balm and the eye concealer. I’ll pay anything and try anything once, but at the moment I’m trying to use stuff up. Have 1 Fresh, 2 Kiehl’s and a Clinque repair ware lip balm I’m trying to use up.

I’m trying to be good and not buy until everything is used up, its a good idea in theory but it rarely works for me! I love trying new things what can I say?!

My husband said this was a foolish impulse buy but I beg to differ! I rarely use up any lip balms in the first place and figure if they last me eons like they do, this would be an investment. It feels amazing and keeps my dry/chapped lips comfy with lipstick.

I love the Fresh lip balms, but man I have bad luck with them. They always break or melt. :'[ I’d really like to give this a try, I’ve got terribly dry lips all the time. Thanks for the review!

I live in Canada, so I had to pay a bit extra for this, but I have to say, it is so much better than the Fresh lip balms. Although it doesn’t have a tint, you can always apply a lipstick on top. This lip balm is super moisturizing and has definitely become my new favorite/HG lip care product! ^.^

Well, now I don’t know what to think. I love lip balms but I hate the ones that Fresh make because they don’t do anything to help with my cracked or peeling lips. I’m better off going with a drugstore lipbalm or my Clinique Chubby Sticks.

I picked this up a couple weeks back on a total impulse, and I like it a lot. Yes it was a RIDICULOUS splurge but it’s pretty silky on. It’s one of the few I am not violently allergic to. I cannot wear Fresh’s because they have Castor Oil in them as most lip and skin products do now.

I want this lip balm so bad, but only website that ships it to Latvia is Amazon.com…with taxes and shipping costs that would cost me almost 40 euros, and there is a huge chance that it will be a mess when it finally arrives..WHY? I am actually into the tube’s design mostly..prettiest I have seen, simple black and silver..

Hi, could you help me with ordering this lip balm? I live in Latvia, and really want to get my hands on this lip balm, but there is none in my country..and the only website that ships to my country is amazon.com, and with shipping and taxes and everything I would have to pay like 50$ for this…but if a person would send this to me, I wouldn’t have to pay taxes, lip balm it self would cost cheaper, etc. So would you be willing to help me out?
