Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Medicated Lip Balm Review & Swatches
Maybelline New York Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Medicated Lip Balm which popped up earlier at Walmart exclusively are now available across drugstores or will be shortly if you haven’t seen them in your location as of yet.
Maybelline New York Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Medicated Lip Balm is brand new formulation of the Baby Lips formula which contains eucalyptus to heal sore lips and cold blisters. They are available in six shades and are supposedly a “medicated care” formula (menthol external analgesic) with a natural hint of tint with a formula that provides 12 hours of hydration.
Let’s take a look!
Just a warning if you hate Vicks I would step away from the Maybelline New York Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Medicated Lip Balm immediately. My mother happens to think Vicks cures everything, I personally hate it with a passion. These have a strong menthol/eucalyptus fragrance and taste that I’m not particularly keen on.
I dunno how helpful a formula with eucalyptus, menthol, and alcohol will be too your chapped lips but keep in mine that the cool freshness does feel like relief to sore lips but isn’t always beneficial to actually healing drier, chapped lips.
Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Medicated Lip Balm just takes the formula to a new level that fans of the product will definitely buy into. At the moment we have the regular round of the formula as well as LE shades that launched and of course the new Electro Baby Lips. This isn’t the last formulation you’ll see of Baby Lips as it’s apparently a very popular lip balm with a strong cult following since its release here in the US.
For me I’m not a HUGE fan of these balms. They do provide nice color, decent moisture, and a nice, natural look however, they are just a glorified lip balm really that’s slightly over hyped. They have a heavier balmy texture with an improved formula since the original test that has a high sheen and a hydrating feel. I think the fact they are tinted is what makes them so popular as you get the moisture factor along with a tint which is very convenient when you aren’t wanting to redo your entire lipstick or lipgloss look during the day.

I’m not really sold on the medicated formula in all honesty. The addition of menthol and eucalyptus might feel nice at first but might actually inflame lips further not really helping them to recover in the long run.
Some of the shades look close to the original range of shades but I think fans of the product might still want to snatch them up.
They are available now at drugstores.
