Milani Eye Tech Mini Liquid Eyeliner Review & Swatches

Milani Eye Tech Mini Liquid Eyeliner 1

It’s been a liquid eyeliner kinda week around here. Next up the new Milani Eye Tech Mini Liquid Eyeliner ($7.49) that reaches select Walgreens and Fred Meyers.

Let’s take a peek!

Milani Eye Tech Mini Liquid Eyeliner 2

Milani Eye Tech Mini Liquid Eyeliner is a traditional felt tip point liquid eyeliner which is completely waterproof. This pen has a soft cushion-y grip so your can hold the pen steady without it slipping around in unsteady hands. The liquid liner is a rich pigmented black and applies without a fuss with a straight, even and non-tug formula that flows evenly across lash lines.

I’m not an expert at liquid eyeliner application but I’ve been experimenting with this for a few weeks and it has a great wear without smearing. It sets to a glossy finish and creates very dramatically lined eyes. Milani has always excelled at creating excellent liquid liners and the Eye Tech Mini Liquid Eyeliner is no different.

I LOVE Physician’s Formula eye booster+serum. I don’t care about if it lives up what it claims to make my lashes grow, the eyeliner itself is amazing. I swear I suck at liquid eyeliner but this one is very easy to use, the tip is soft and can make the thinnest line. It has become my HG liquid eyeliner pen and I haven’t been using any other eyeliner for my upper lashline.Plus, they’re MADE IN JAPAN.
The only down side is they are not waterproof.

Oh! I love that one also(if you mean the original skinny one). I find it to be completely water-proof, though. I literally had a swatch of it on my arm, let it dry, and then I added water. There was no running whatsoever. I let the water dry and rubbed my arm vigorously; it didn’t flake. I then rubbed it with water and it faded a little but was still holding up well. It got off easily with makeup remover though. Do you mean, eye-watering-proof? There really isn’t an eyeliner sure to be proof of that unless you happen to be lucky. You see, tears have salt, water, and oil. The ingredients to makeup are usually dispersable(rub off) by either water but not oil or oil but not water or dispersable by both. On very rare occasion, they can only be removed by silicone-based removers, but it’s really rare and most companies don’t use those ingredients as they can tend to be more low-quality.

How many hours can you wear this for before it starts to smear or fade or flake? Does it seem waterproof? Would you still need a primer for this to hold up? I have extremely oily eyelids so I’m curious about this product. 🙂

    • the Muse

it doesn’t smear or flake kylie did you read review? I have drier eyes and no issues with either problem.

I just got the Stila felt tip eyeliner in brown. Love love love the stuff, it does not budge! How does the milani one compare to stila’s? And do they have a brown one? I don’t wear black eyeliner…

    • the Muse

they only have a black one ashley, it’s about the same formula but milani is blacker and less “wet” if that makes sense.

I prefer liquid liners. I just cannot use pencils no matter how hard I try, and gels make my eyes feel goopy. Liquid liners are just right for me, especially for precision. I use the Stila one myself, but this one might be worth trying for the price. Thanks for the review.

I use Kat Von D tattoo liner everyday and would be lost without it!! It really does last forever and they are super pigmented..It gives a nice fine line or you can adjust it to be thicker..I’m really in love with all of her makeup! I’ll probably give this Milani a shot, the price is nice and my local CVS has a nice selection of their products…Christine ♥

The first liquir liner I tried was smashbox and I hated it. It never went on well and half way through the day it was smeared all over. Then I went to l’oreal’s liner which goes on awesome and looks great all day but by the end of the day I look like I have a smokey eye look going… I am definitely gonna have to get Milani’s to try!!

milani makes an excellet felt tip liner Angela plus won’t cost you as much as Smashbox 😀 let me know what you think if you try!
