About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I have not seen nor heard of this! I’ll have to keep an eye out. Those baked eyeshadows look fun!

I think Pixel sold nail polish, if I remember correctly. They’re definitely not a new brand to Ulta, but i can’t remember exactly what they sold before this.

Ooh, they have liquid eyeliner pens in COLORS! I must try them!!! Everything else looks pretty cute, too.

I was just thinking how I need a purple eyeliner pen to go with my black and forest green Stila felt tip liners… for $6 I’m sold! I was just in Ulta half an hour ago on my lunchhour to look for something. I’ll have to head back at some point and try these out…

Very interested in these! Can’t wait to see swatches of the eyeliners and shadows!

I’ve used their nail polishes before, okay quality. I picked up their new black liquid liner pen last week from Ulta ($5.99). I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. I will deftly be going back to try a lip butter and a baked shadow!

I have to admit, I kind of want one of everything just because it reminds me of the late 90’s/early 00’s, when everything marketed to my age group (preteen) was shimmery and metallic and named after new technology in some way.

Also, Pixel has had tiny nail polishes at Ulta– I have been resisting the urge for a while 🙂

my grocery store carries their tiny little nail polishes! I’ve tried a couple before because they’re only a dollar or two, they were okay but not fantastic! (not that I expect wonders from $1 polish haha)

I have used the nail polish before and I really liked is as the small bottle was just enough to experiment with fun colors without having a full bottle just lying around getting old. So this week I just tried a few of the single colors. I thought the color choices were great so I tried the colors, Honest and Faithful. Not only do I think the names of the colors are inspired, but the actual product is fabulous. The texture is so silky smooth, the application is easy and supremely blendable. The built in applicator is ingenious and easy for travel. I definitely am a fan and will be experimenting with more of this line soon.!

I bought the eyeliner in brown after a recommendation from some on MUT. The first time I used it, the application was just OK. There was definitely a lot of bleeding into the fine lines and it did stain after a few hours of wear. However, after storing it face down in a jar with all my other liquid eyeliners it was a mess to use my second time around. I tried blotting it and the favor I was returned with was a mess of brown liquid liner all over my eye. So buyer beware. Price may be too good to be true. I wanted to contact the company itself over this but I cant find anything online. Oh well. I learned a lesson today.

I’ve been using one of their single shadows this fall, one that was sort of a greenish-gold color. It was pretty nice for the price. I just recently got a lipstick and one of the baked shadows to try them, too.
The single shadows have a little sponge applicator thing on the inside end of the slide-off cover. Definitely makes the little package more compact. I was satisfied with the color and application and wear for a very inexpensive purchase.
