Ponds Flawless White Deep Lightening Facial Foam Review

Ponds Flawless White Deep Lightening Facial Foam

Ponds Flawless White Deep Lightening Facial Foam ($6.40) is part of the Flawless White Skincare Collection that launched in Asia early last Spring I believe (don’t quote me, I think they revisited the line in the Spring of 2012).

This is a whitening foaming facial cleansing that’s supposed to give skin a brighter appearance. We have something similar here in the US that’s called Ponds Luminous Clean Cream Cleanser, sorta the same concept.

Let’s take a look!

Ponds Flawless White Deep Lightening Facial Foam Swatches

This is a basic collagen wash that features very small beads which exfoliate skin. Supposedly Ponds Flawless White Deep Lightening Facial Foam was developed with a new VAO-B3 Complex that helps to brighten skin and create a more flawless appearance.

It’s a creamier texture which creates a ton of foam when water is added. It has a super slippery texture as you massage it on and is much like many Asian collagen washes do this this if not more so as I thought it felt incredibly slippery during application. It has a strong fresh floral scent that’s positively delightful but I think sensitive users will be absolutely disgusted by such a strong smell. It doesn’t rinse away easily so it does require a little elbow grease to get it all removed.

Apparently this is suitable for all skin types but it makes my skin a bit too tight after use for me to be comfortable using it daily. I have drier skin and don’t need the extra dryness this brings to the table.

The smaller beads might just remove dead skin cells but a harsher scrub would likely be more beneficial. I think those in fact are what makes them call this a “whitening” wash as the beads help to exfoliate and create brighter skin. But since they are so tiny it does very little to ease dullness and create an overall brighter look!

Ponds says the VAO-B3 complex is a mix of Vitamin E as well as Niacinamide. Seems like a great range of ingredients but also seems pointless in a product you’re washing off your face particularly the Niacinamide.

Overall, Ponds Flawless White Deep Lightening Facial Foam isn’t something I’d recommend tracking down especially since we sorta have our own variation of it here in the states.

If you are curious Sasa.com sells it for around $6-$7.

Tried it?

I have this cleanser and I do like it. It cleanses gently and doesn’t dry my skin out, but that’s about it. I haven’t seen any whitening after almost two months of regular use. And I agree with you about the cleansing beads..they’re way too small to really exfoliate. Skinfoods Hot Sesame scrub/mask does a better job.

bebe curious minds but do you have oily skin? My drier skin is a bit tight after using it…liked the feel of it but overall not that fab. I read raving reviews of how it whitened and brightened, but did not experience that at all!

I agree that cleansers that claim to do things are kinda silly. I mean its on your skin less than a couple minutes when cleaning. I’d invest in a moisturizer.

Do you have any tips on getting Asian products without breaking the bank on shipping?

not really 🙁 If you live in NY or CA there are plenty of Asian communities with a few brand shops (facial shop is in Queens) and smaller beauty stores but the biggest selection would be online

Muse, my skin is very oily except for winter, then it’s normal. My skin absolutely adores cold weather…the colder the better. Plus, it allows me the opportunity to try a lot of different moisturizers without the fear of clogging my pores or worse, risk breaking out. Have you tried Eucerin soapless cleanser? It’s very good for dry skin as well as Aveeno. But I still envy people with dry skin. I bet your pores are non-existent. Mine can be seen from across the room (lol). Oh well, that’s DNA for you. By the way, I saw the Sexy Look “Hello Kitty” face masks at iBeauty in the New World Mall in Flushing a couple of weeks ago. I believe they were two boxes for $20. The store is on the upper level. Everytime I see something with Hello Kitty, I say to myself “Hmmm, I wonder if the Muse knows about this one?” Naruko has a shop in the Mall as well, but they’re rather expensive. Same with Laneige downstairs…you’re better off with Sasa or eBay. And speaking of eBay, I made my first purchase from F2plus1 last month, and they were very nice. The product I ordered (Holika Holika Baby Bloom Foundation) was quite lovely, and they also gave me some nice samples. Will definitely shop with them again. Ok, I’ve rambled on long enough, lol. Enjoy the weekend. 🙂

gosh you’re lucky! Mine is worst in the Winter and more normal in the Summer. I haven’t! but it is on my list to try 😀 that is true, I have smaller pores on my nose but no where else but believe me drier means aging faster so you’re best off with oil and larger pores ;-D That’s actually not bad! LOL! I think I have everything HK pegged down to a fine art form hehe! 😀 I stocked up on them when I went to Taiwan last Summer and still working myself through them 😀 even gifted some but still have an abundance of sexy look masks hehe! 😀 YAYYYY! so happy to hear it, they are a great seller 😀 sorry for the delayed reply I’ve been swamped but very much enjoyed your comment 😀 Happy Monday!
