Tarte Thoughtful Treasures Set Set

Get your twenty bucks ready and dish it out on the Tarte Thoughtful Treasures Set which includes a limited edition Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Thankful. The Tarte Thoughtful Treasures Set ($19) seems like such a cute little stocking stuffer for a friend or perhaps a gift for a Secret Santa but who am I kidding? You greedy little beauty junkies just want that limited edition Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush all for yourself, I know you do!

How do I know?

Because I’m a greedy bugger too!

Tarte Thoughtful Treasures Set

This little selection of goodies is ready for gifting decked out in a gradient green and teal box with gold accents. Inside you’ll find a Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil that’s 0.23 oz in size, a Tarte Energy Lipsurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint that’s 0.06 oz, and a Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Thankful which is 0.05 oz.

Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil comes in a tiny glass jar with dropper. This amount will actually lasts you for a bit as the oil is quite potent and provides plenty of moisture with a few drops. It’s a facial oil much like Josie’s popular Argan Oil that absorbs easily while providing skin with plenty of hydration to prevent aging due to dryness. It’s supposed to be high in Vitamin C levels as well to brighten over time however, I’ve used it for a long time now and never really noticed the brightening effect. It does however, deliver plenty of moisture and is one of my staples for keeping my skin soft and smooth during the Winter months!

Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil

Tarte LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint is a new self adjusting shade of pink for lips and one of the only self adjusting colors that Tarte offers in their Lipsurgence Collection. They released it for the Spring 2013 season in its larger size. This smaller size is a swivel up design just like its bigger sister. It’s pleasantly lightweight with a moisturizing balm-y texture that keeps lips comfortably hydrated. It has a minty taste and scent. I gives my lips a delicate shade of pink (as you can see in my FOTD below) and doesn’t shade lips a crazy color of fuschia like most self adjusting lipglosses and products do.

Tarte LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint

Tarte Thankful Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush is describe as a golden pink but personally I think it’s a bright apricot pink. I compared it to many shades in my own stash of blushes including:

  • Amused
  • Blissful
  • Glisten
  • Natural Beauty
  • Fearless
  • Adventurous
  • Fantastic
  • Magic
  • Tipsy
  • Tickled
  • Flush
  • Peaceful

There are a few shades on that list they aren’t even anything PINK but I just listed them anyway just in case because folks will throw out an obscure shade at me and ask, “Is it a dupe of this tan color?” and I have to sit and think “eh?” so I just compared it to everything I own. If it isn’t on the list, I didn’t compare it to that shade I can’t tell you if it is or isn’t a dupe. To me it looks like a fairly new shade. It’s bright, apricot, and satiny with no shimmer or sparkle at all.

Tarte LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint and Tarte Thankful Blush

All in all the Tarte Thoughtful Treasures Set is adorable! One of the nicest parts about this particular set would be the lovely blush. I know like myself many of you collect these blushes because you love their texture, extra long wear, and gorgeous pigmentation. This alone makes the set worth it and on top of the blush you get two other lovely extras to play with!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Looks like a cute gift for … someone or if I’m honest me! lol Been loving all of your holiday previews and reviews, thanks!

  • Lori

I love the Maracuja oil. I don’t think it necessarily makes my face brighter, but does make it look overall healthier. Never tried Tarte blushes or lip wear, but I’m thinking I will indulge in this for $20!

  • Lena

I ordered this along with the LipSurgence kit….for me, because I’m a greedy little bugger! I’ve been waiting patiently and it should be arriving tomorrow!

  • amy

I love the concept, but that blush is a bit too much for me. Even Exposed is a bit bright for my personal taste.

  • Juliana

Must have this set! That blush is gorgeous. I’m also really happy to hear that the pencil doesn’t make your lips bright pink. I’ve had some bad experiences with self-adjusting lip products.

Tarte Amazonian clay blush is the best blush I’ve tried so far. I got the Gifts from the Lipstick Tree set which includes the blush, lip surgence and gloss in achiote(lovely shade). I absolutely recommend it! Their Amazonian foundation, maracuja concealer and finishing powder perform miracles when used together. I used to cover up a lot, but I’ve found I use less and less since I’ve started using it. My skin is normalizing!

  • Lina

Thanks for review and pictures. It’s difficult to tell the actual shades sometimes. All and all, I think this set is pretty worth it for something under $20!

  • Alyson

I just bought the full size Maracuja oil at Ulta last night on special for $26! I wasn’t overly impressed with the Josie Maran argon oil in the past, so I can’t wait to see how my super dry skin responds to this.

  • Lulubelle

I ordered one this weekend – my first holiday set purchase!

Something about LE colors always gets me, plus I do like the Maracuja oil and just finished up that same size bottle.

  • Majick

So, is it a dupe for Smashbox Peachy…GUFFAW! HA HA JOKING! LOL but I couldn’t resist. Especially after “read this post” and people asking for concealers. HOpe you got a little giggle after the hairs on the back of your neck went down. 😀

this looks like a great $20 gift for just about anyone who wears makeup.

  • Irenebaby

So cute! Has a korean makeup look to it…. ^_^

Tarte is coming to Sephora in my country. Gotta check if they hv this collection.

  • Monique

Oh Muse, I know you told us not to but could you please (please, please) tell me if the thankful blush is the same as the fearless Amazonian clay blush from the Tarte QVC Journey to Natural Beauty set? I fell in love with thankful but realized it was limited edition and only available in this set. Because I saw fearless on the tarte website on sale for $18. Both are described as a golden pink but I just wanted to make sure before I buy it because it’s final sale.
