Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder Holiday 2013

Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body ($29) arrives just in time for the Holiday season when we all crave a little sparkle. This new highlighting powder gives both your face and body a kiss of glowing beige sparkle.

Take a peek!

Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder

Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body ($29) is a sophisticated compact version of Urban Decay Sparkling Lickable Body Powder. Remember those body powders? I had every one! Cherry, lime, the popular cult favorite marshmallow and of course, honey! Remind me one day to do a post for you on all the ones I still have! I haven’t used them for years but they are still very much apart of my Urban Decay Collection!

Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body amps up the sparkling face and body highlighter regime though as this is a more mature, sophisticated version of those powders. Housed in a chunky double tier rose gold compact with the mirror and powder topside and a soft Good Karma brush on the bottom this highlighter is ready to get you sparkling.

The powder is a lightweight texture with a finely milled silky texture and a soft light creamy shade of beige with fine silver sparkle. The terracotta design is baked for 24 hours and hand finished like Urban Decay’s Bronzer. Baking the powder gives Naked Illuminated Shimming Powder a high level of shimmer without it looking overly metallic. It’s super sparkly…not so much chunky glitter but it has fine particles of sparkle that definitely make it a little harder to wear all over your face. Users beware a little goes a very long way on your face. It does kick up a fair bit of powder when a brush is swiped over it so try for a gentle hand when using it to keep the kick up to a minimum. There isn’t any real color here, mostly you’re getting very fine shimmering particles of silver. They will cling a bit to larger pores or drier skin so be sure to prep well prior to applying on your face. A very tiny touch on your cheekbones gives an ethereal sparkle in the right light! The only thing missing from this highlighter would be a delectable fragrance of some kind…!

The brush they include is a half moon and just large enough not to be too bulky and clumsy. It has super soft, fine bristles and picks up just the lightest dusting of product and distributes it perfectly on both face and body.

I think highlighters are such a classical part of Holiday makeup so Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body is a very welcome addition to my holiday makeup looks. It’s a little difficult to pull off on your face but it works just as lovely on shoulders, arms, and chest. This one is a beautiful to say the least.

It’ll be available for $29 today at urbandecay.com and exclusively at Ulta and Utlta.com

Will you be purchasing it?

Ugh, this is just so gorgeous it makes me wanna gag! Muse you know how to give a girl a lemming like nobody else in the blogger business! I have to have this powder. Now the question is, do I rush to ulta.com and order this lovely lil thang or do I hold tight, stick to my September no buy, and get it in a few weeks? I don’t know if I am strong enough to hold out…

hehe michelle truly flattered. I’d wait on this! there’s more UD coming tonight/early AM (12ish EST) and it’s a lot more stuff that you’ll want to purchase before it sells out. I do see this powder selling out quickly so you can def wait for FF to haul it 😀

Is this a holiday limited edition product, or is this part of the permanent line? Looks like it is permanent?
