Votre Vu Lip Lustre Review & Swatches

Votre Vu Lip Lustre Lipgloss

Here’s a little obscure treat from Votre Vu! Their new Lip Lustre Lipglosses which are rather lovely Votre Vu Lip Lustre Lipgloss launched earlier this Summer and I kid you not soon after getting my hands on some the shade Tempting became my HG (holy grail) Summer shade. I have never in my life used up a gloss this quickly.

Now that we are in Fall season and I’m on my second tube the shade still continues to impress as does the formula on this fun little glosses.

Votre Vu Lip Lustre Lipgloss ($15) is a sweet little indulgence of a gloss with a subtle vanilla taste and lovely luminous color that adds shine and color to my lips with a lovely blend of vitamin E and green tea that keeps my lips nicely hydrated through the wear.

Votre Vu Lip Lustre 3

Sadly, the only bad thing about these glosses is the fact they are only available in three shades. Sigh! Oh woe is the lipgloss junkie that desires more variety.

I find the formula positively addictive as it’s highly shiny with a lightweight texture that gives my drier lips a good deal of quenching moisture. This results in a comfortable wear that makes my lips feel delightfully spoiled. I love the fact that two of three shades are nicely pigmented as well! My favorite, as I mentioned above is Tempting which is a lovely shimmering cranberry!

I can see how it might not photograph well or at all, but when worn, do you notice that same pearly sheen in Demure that the swatch shows? Or does applying it thin that out so much it just looks like a plain clear shiny gloss?

    • 9/18/13 11:12 the Muse:

depending on how much you apply it keeps the pearly sheen…a thin layer only looks shiny and clear, about three applications will keep that pearl you see.
