Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil

Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil ($26) is a deep cleaning cleansing oil that’s suitable for all skin types.

Take a look!

Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil has quite a cult following with many a fine rave from beauty junkies. In all honesty it isn’t my personal favorite cleansing oil of choice but I can’t deny I’m very impressed with how well it removes makeup.

Although it is recommended for sensitive skin I do recommend a patch test of some sort prior to using it all over your face as it does contain menthol and even non-sensitive skin will notice it produces a cool tingle when applied. This is actually one reason I dislike it because I find when I apply it around my eyes I get a burning feeling. Typically I apply cleansing oil around my lids/eyes to remove any left over eye makeup that my eye makeup remover might have left behind but I try to avoid doing this when cleansing with Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil due to the tingling and also the fact it leaves me with very cloudy vision (I feel like my eyes have been dilated after use and the cloudiness lasts for several minutes which freaks me out where as with other cleansing oils it typically disappears quickly!).

I really enjoy the cool, crisp tingle but as I mentioned those with sensitive skin might not love it. The thicker consistency reminds me more of a lighter cleansing gel and the fact the product doesn’t emulsify (goes milky when water is applied) makes it feel more like a cleansing gel experience.

On the upside it does do a stupendous job of removing every single little morsel of makeup from my face leaving my complexion squeaky clean without leaving me feeling tight or dry after rinsing.

To use you’ll pump about three or four handfuls into dry hands and apply onto your face face. Massage gently and add a little water to emulsify and break down the oil. Now rinse! Done! Your skin will feel fresh, cooled, and all oil, dirt, and makeup will be magically whisked away!

Although it has a few quirks to the formula I can’t deny Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil pretty much removes everything easily!

It’s available now at Sephora and Sephora.com

I’ve liked it for awhile since it does remove my make-up so well but I do dislike the tingling on my eyes. I need to try a diff cleansing oil one day.

I’ve tried a few cleansing oils and this is my favorite. The thinner oils slip through my fingers and down the drain before they make it to my face, so I really like the slightly thicker feel of this oil. It doesn’t irritate my eyes, either.

oooh i might need to try this. i am lazy and would rather a one step face wash and make up remover. i hate having to use a MU remover+face wash+ cotton swab under my eyes after because its still not makeup free! so frustrating@

have you tried philosophy’s purity? I use that as my one step, makeup remover and face wash.

I have Ashley, and while I did like how it left the texture of my skin, it didn’t do the best job of removing all make up. I may give it a second shot, have u tried the purity gel?

I tried this after running out of my favorite Muji cleansing oil, and it’s…okay. It’s heavily scented and it doesn’t melt away liquid foundations the way Muji’s does, but it’s fine for light makeup. Needless to say I’ll be making a beeline for Muji next time I’m in NYC!

Looks nice! I’ve tried a couple of oils, but not this one. I used to consider DHC cleansing oil a fave, but after trying Dermalogica’s Precleanse last week I’m obsessed. It’s thicker consistency too and smells amazing! The blurred vision is just from getting oil in your eyes, but I agree that it’s annoying!

I just got this in the mail yesterday, but didn’t try it as I didn’t wear any makeup! I’m thinking I probably won’t use it for my eyes though… Sounds like it could be a little iffy for that area.

I agree with your review. It totally clouds up my eyes and freaked me out the first time I used it! I am pretty sensitive and acne prone and unfortunately, this broke me out after a few days. I have been sticking to Clinique’s TTDO balm for oil cleansing!

thank god no issues with breaking out but the cloudiness lasts a bit longer than I’m used too…!

I still haven’t gotten into the cleansing oils. I use clinique take the day off to remove my makeup, and occasionally lancome bifacils when i get it as freebies. but everything else is more money
