Buxom Serial Kisser Mini Full-Bodied Lipsticks Collection

If you’re hauling lipstick collections for the Holidays might I introduce you to the Buxom Serial Kisser Mini Full-Bodied Lipsticks Collection ($32)? Housed in a red velvet case this set contains five 0.04 Buxom Full-Bodied Lipsticks in an array of sultry shades.

Take a look!

Buxom Serial Kisser Mini Full-Bodied Lipsticks Set

The Buxom Serial Kisser Mini Full-Bodied Lipsticks Collection is available for a limited time and is $32 which breaks down each lipstick to $6.40 each. I love this set. The lipstick formula is incredible! Soft, easy to apply, a beautiful luminous shine, and fairly opaque coverage depending on the shade you’re using! The pigmentation is excellent on all the shades and the formula has an excellent wear time of four to five hours. This set made me want to purchase a few of the full size Buxom Full-Bodied Lipsticks.

Mistress, Menace, Provocateur, Moonlighter, Centerfold

Having never tried the lipsticks before (I’ve only tried the Full Bodied Lipgloss) this was a treat and I’m surprising myself by saying I actually like them better than the Marvelous Moxie Lipstick formula (which I love!).

Shades in the set:

  • Menace
  • Provocateur
  • Mistress
  • Centerfold
  • Moonlighter

Now the problem….

If you buy the set I suggest removing the lipsticks from the box and placing them all in your freezer for an hour or two. Hopefully this will strengthen them a bit prior to use. I didn’t do this myself and wish I had because maybe it would have helped with breakage. The lipsticks are super tiny and although they apply and fit the contour of my lips perfectly fine they end up snapping off if you swivel them up too high. I broke three of the five shades during application sadly! The lipstick just bends forward and rubs against the sides of the tube and finally snaps off at the base.

Love this formula but just wish they were a bit sturdier!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Yeah, that was my reaction when I got the set with a mini Two Timer and a gloss. I love the color, but the lipstick was so fragile! That’s why I refuse to buy any more of the Buxom mini lipsticks.

  • Celine

I think price point wise, its a great deal but always a drawback. Most of these shades I wouldn’t typically wear, and I noticed that two of the shades are really similar.

Grrrr, I feel your pain on this! I don’t have this set yet, but I have the Sephora Gimme More Lip sampler and this happened to 3 of them. The Buxom, the Stila and the worst offender MUFE. That one was sooo soft and super tall and skinny. Even with special care, it broke on the third use. I had to smoosh them all into a palette which defeats my purpose of throwing a tiny lippie in a pocket. Sorry for the slightly off topic rant. But it bummed me out. They need to make these minnies more squat and fat, therefore user friendly. Rant done 😉 and Happy Belated Halloween Muse!

🙁 boo sadness! 🙁 no I totally relate and understand! 🙁 HAPPY belated hope it was wonderful!

They should have just made the sample size shorter, instead of thinner. I’m familiar with both sample styles of lipsticks, and I too find that the skinny ones break. Silly design. I love BUXOM and these shades look perfect, unfortunately I won’t be buying this set because of the breakage issue!

I love love love that lipstick formula and i bought the mini two-timer set and loved the shade but i returned it because of that issue. I’m actually afraid of buying the full-size because the samples in the store always looked so wrecked. they need to re-evaluate packaging STAT!

I’m a little late to the party.0, but I bought this set either right before or right after the holidays. I purchased it at a markdown, so it really was a great deal. I’m in love with Centerfold and it upsets me that they don’t make this part of the collection. It is the perfect color for every woman (looks great on you too!).
