Dr. Jart Ceramidin Liquid Review
Dr. Jart Ceramidin Liquid ($39) is getting a hard launch in Korea at the moment as apparently the product launched to the US market almost exactly as the same time that it did in Korea (rare!). I keep seeing all these videos, photos, etc…on Dr. Jart Korea’s Facebook page and it kinda makes you instantly want to purchase this stuff.
After testing out for a several weeks now I can say this has become and will stay apart of my daily skincare staples. If you have dry skin, you NEED it.
Dr. Jart Ceramidin Liquid is the first in a two step system (follow up with Ceramidin Cream) that preps skin for moisturizer. Japanese and Korean lotions, essences, or liquids are just a friendly word for toner in my experience although most have a thicker consistency than your average US toner with added benefits in some cases.
This is a serum slash “lotion” that has a thick yet watery consistency that absorbs easily into skin. To use it just squeeze a small amount into the palms of your hands and press them gently onto your face to allow the liquid to absorb. You want to basically give yourself a little facial massage with this. I think many will automatically assume that you put some onto a cotton pad and swipe it across your face. That’s the wrong method of application. You’ll want to place it into your hands and slowly “palm” it on so it absorbs fully. I hold the palms of my hands against my face for a few seconds and move them gently across my face laying them flat and allowing all the liquid to absorb before following up with the moisturizer. This also happens to be the correct way to apply BB Cream. You can see what I mean below about application (this is a commercial for Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid a similar style lotion that’s popular in Japan).
Just a warning for those sensitive to fragrance in there skincare this has a very delightful fresh herbal scent but may be too strong for those with sensitivities.
After several weeks of use I can visibly see how much smoother, brighter, and hydrated my skin looks and feels. When my skin is drier is suffers from looking tired and lackluster but with constant use Dr. Jart Ceramidin Liquid in conjunction with the Dr Ceramidin Cream gave my skin a healthy, restored glow.
This is wonderful stuff and has become HG (holy grail) for me!
Well worth picking up with the long hard Winter ahead of us soon and for those who just need to get their glow back!
It’s available now at Sephora and Sephora.com
