Guerlain Provocative Rouge G de Guerlain Lip Color Review & Swatches
Guerlain Provocative Rouge G de Guerlain Lip Color ($49.50) is one of the more fun little lipstick shades I’ve seen released for the Holiday season! This limited edition shade will be available with the new Guerlain Crazy in Paris Collection for Holiday 2013.
Crazy indeed as this is a vibrant yet wearable shade of pink that makes me think of berries!
Take a peek!
A shade like Guerlain Provocative Rouge G de Guerlain Lip Color is a little outside of my comfort zone as I don’t really due pinks like this. Mind you I like them, even purchased one or two in my makeup life, but they aren’t always shades I reach for daily.
I think its rather fun Guerlain kicked the traditional seasonal festive shades aside and just said let them have pink for the Holidays!
This is a bright, cooler neoni-ish pink with blue undertones. The creamy texture is a joy to use and provides a luminous hint of shine in a satiny finish without any shimmer or sparkle. A single swipe yields full coverage yet even with all that pigment the formula remains lightweight on lips. It wore for a solid five hours on my lips and remained perfect through the wear without feathering, migrating, or adventuring around my face (yeah, my lipstick has been known to take road trips on occasion).
It comes housed in the typical Guerlain Rouge G compact. I call it compact because that’s exactly what it is. This is a weighty black lacquer case with a hot pink button. It’s a compact because it not only contains your lipstick but also a dual mirror which flips open as you release the barrel of the lipstick. ALL lipsticks should be made so conveniently for touch ups on the go.
It’s a pricey lipstick but worth the indulgence once in your makeup life at the least (although I can’t promise you’ll stop at one, Rouge G tend to be addicting and very pokemon-like! Must collect ’em all!).
It’s available now on counter.
