Laura Mercier Bare Nudes Mini Lip Glace Set

It’s my favorite time of the year! Laura Mercier Mini Lip Glace Set time! The Laura Mercier Bare Nudes Mini Lip Glace Set ($48) hit my desk recently and I was all, “hmmm can I wear these shades?” and than I was like, “hmmmmm let’s try ’em!”

So either way nude, berry, or otherwise my favorite, FAVORITE lipgloss set of the season is most definitely the Laura Mercier Mini Lip Glace Sets! And thankfully, even if the nudes aren’t you, there are two sets to choose from so if nude isn’t your bag darling there’s a berry one as well!

Take a peek!

Laura Mercier Lip Glace is underrated as far as I’m concerned but you must, must, must try the formula once in your life because once you do you’ll be hooked. It’s glossy, it’s pigmented, it wears extra long, extra comfortably, and its just a great luxurious gloss! The glosses have a vanilla or cream brulee-like scent and flavor.

Please note my lip swatches in this post all look very similar but many of these shades look quite better in “real life”.

The Lip Glace formula is a rave because I think of it as a liquid lipstick of sort. Typically it’s fully opaque color with a high shine and a slightly tacky formula that wears quite long at around four to five hours. In the case of this nude set you’ll def get pigmented but some shades run sheerer as well but there’s enough color to “nude” lips out if that’s the look you’re looking for. Less than pigmented lips will look best in the shades but if you have a lighter rose or berry tones in your own natural lip color you’ll likely be able to use these color as well as they are pigmented enough to nude our your own natural lip color and replace it with a very pretty shade of natural lip color.

I wish my own lips were less pigmented because shades like Bare Peach and Gilded Rose (also with this set) would likely look amazing! My rose lips take away slightly from the shades.

As you know I am NOT a fan of nude lip colors but these shades were all rather pretty and didn’t give me that zombie lip look I dislike so much. Aside from Pout which is a milky baby pink of course, as this one I couldn’t really sport very well.

This set is one of two limited edition sets released with the Laura Mercier Holiday 2013 Collection so if you want something a bit more pigmented I’ll be reviewing the berry set as well shortly!

In the end the Laura Mercier Bare Nudes Mini Lip Gace Set is a great value! Trust me when I say these sets are my VERY favorite lipglosses of the year. Yes, some brand offer more for less but the quality is much better on a set like this so DO dish out the $48 dollars! You won’t be disappointed.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Love me!! Have both sets! I received one as a sample last year from Sephora and fell in love with the formula. I purchase both of the sets a fe weeks ago along with the lipipie set. I. Ve been wearing the products everyday and are worth the money. I’ve been disappointed with Bobbi .brown and Trish McEvoy lines. Mercier products have been a wonderful surprise.

I love the looks and colors of this set. The thing I am really digging are the non sexual / offensive names. I am so sick of the sexual names like “thrust” or “orgasm” or “tremble”….
All the colors look great on you, and to be honest nothing that Laura Mercier puts out seems crappy. 🙂
