MAC Lavish Living Mineralize Blush Reviews & Swatches
Apparently MAC Lavish Living Mineralize Blush ($27.50) is quite the hot commodity. This is a rather unique and stunning shade of plum blush. A shade you really don’t see often! It’s available with the MAC Divine Night Holiday 2013 Collection for a limited time so if you’re wanting it best getting to hauling it before it disappears!
Take a look!
MAC Lavish Living Mineralize Blush is describe as a violet with silver and gold pearl. I personally think it feels like a cooler darkened plum with smaller refined silvery bits (I say bits because it isn’t really glitter nor is it full in sparkle or shimmer but just refined pieces of glitter). This does translate to your face but you can blend it out so you aren’t left with flecks of silver all over your cheeks! Mind you it isn’t terribly glittery but there’s enough here to be annoying to some who prefer to stay away from shimmer on their faces!
It’s unusual shade that could potentially go muddy on certain skin tones. It’s looks a little weird on me I suppose perhaps a bit muddy? But with a proper application technique this could really do some very dramatic looks. It does seem to cling to my drier areas so I imagine it’ll do the same with pores so I suggest an application of primer over it. I use Mally Face Defender after applying as this gives it a smoother more flawless finish (plus it swipes away flecks of glitter!).
Although MAC calls it violet it looks more plum to me with a hint of berry. It does darken once applied though so you aren’t getting full on plum. I have to say the first thing that popped into my head when I saw and applied it was sugar plums. You’d never associate such a dark color with Christmas but yes, it is kinda festive even elegant and very sultry. I think it just needs the proper technique and application to looks great though so some (like myself) may struggle with it and find it challenging to apply.
Pigmentation does run sheerer on first application but built up it should work across many skin tones and medium and tan tones will probably find the finish the most dramatic where as fairer skin tones might feel it goes a bit muddy.
If you can pull it off needless to say MAC Lavish Living Mineralize Blush is a very interesting shade!
