Maybelline Pink Grandeur Color Sensational Lipstick Review & Swatches
Maybelline Pink Grandeur Color Sensational Lipstick is one of two limited edition shades that Maybelline recently launched with their Gilded in Gold Holiday 2013 Collection.
I wouldn’t typically pick up a shade like Maybelline Pink Grandeur Color Sensational Lipstick but the color had such a playful raspberry look to it I decided to indulge!
Take a look!
I located Maybelline Pink Grandeur Color Sensational Lipstick at Bed, Bath, and Beyond so although it is seeing a smaller launch at the moment I don’t doubt it’ll become available more widespread shortly. I have a love hate relationship with Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick as some formulas are a hit for me and others a miss. For example, Maybelline Refined Red Color Sensational Lipstick which is part of the same collection was a miss for me due to a poorer formula so I had my reservations about trying Pink Grandeur not only due to the color but also the formula.
I am glad I did indulge though. First off I stepped a little outside my comfort zone with this shade. It’s a bright cooler raspberry. Shades like this typically look too fuchsia on me but paired up with Maybelline Plum Shimmer Blush and a little bit of smoky black liner and I thought it looked rather nice!
As for the formula it proved one of the hits! It has an easy glide formula with a luminous touch of shine finish and a creamy, satiny feel. It didn’t tug during application and the color was nicely pigmented so opacity can be achieved with a single application. It wasn’t terribly moisturizing but it wasn’t drying either. The color wore around three to four hours for me before losing some of its intensity and disappearing into hour five.
Overall, don’t be shy about picking up Maybelline Pink Grandeur Color Sensational Lipstick! It’s a rather nice shade. Mind you it doesn’t evoke “Holiday” makeup to me but it’s such a fun shade you’ll find use for it in daily looks!
Likey!
