Maybelline Pink Weave Shimmer Blush Review & Swatches
Maybelline Pink Weave Shimmer Blush is one of three new, limited edition blushes that Maybelline introduced with their Gilded in Gold Holiday 2013 Collection. I must admit so far I really liked these. They kinda remind of an in the cheap version of Chanel Les Tissages de Chanel (Tweed Effects) Blush with their cute tweed/houndstooth-like pattern.
Maybelline Pink Weave Shimmer Blush is a subtle peach beige with pops of bright pink woven into the design. It’s sure to appeal to those who prefer a cooler shade of pink.

Plum Shimmer, Bronze Tapestry, Pink Weave
I grabbed Maybelline Pink Weave Shimmer Blush at Bed, Bath, and Beyond but I’m sure it’ll start popping up at other drugstores soon.
The blush has a gradient look to it as you get two shades of graduating color in a soft beige peach and above it woven in a sparkling shade of pink. These blushes are confusing as they have a heavy dose of silver sparkle and in some cases it appears to run straight through but in others it swipes away as an over spray…! In the case of Pink Weave it appears to be an over spray as under the sparkle I’m just seeing pure satiny blush.
The blush is .09 oz in size and set me back $5.99 and I thought the compact was a bit smallish so getting my brush into it was a bit of a hassle but not too irritating.
The texture on this is a little chalky at first but applied it has a silkiness that blends easily onto my cheeks. It is a cooler shade so if you don’t like truly pink, baby doll-like shades it might not be for you. It is a bit subtle as well so pigmentation isn’t full on and it might not be as apparent on darker skin tones as it would be on lighter ones but it builds nicely enough so fair, medium, and lighter tanned skin should be able to get away with it. I like the color a lot as it’s a fresher flushed pink.
I was happy with the Maybelline Shimmer Blushes on a whole and I really like some of these LE blushes that Maybelline does. They are fairly nice blushes and have a nice price tag when purchased at certain drugstores or during a sale.
