Milani Bronze Beauty Color Statement Lipstick Review & Swatches

Milani Bronze Beauty Statement Lipstick

There’s just something about Fall lip colors isn’t there? Milani Bronze Beauty Color Statement Lipstick ($5.49) was added to my Fall lipstick wardrobe recently and I must say I adore the shade.

I love, love, love a good Fall lip color. The best thing about Fall is you can take all the shades out that look incredible in the Summer on your lips and use them for autumn looks. I favor bronze-y, peachy shades in the Summer and these all work well into the Fall season as well.

Milani Bronze Beauty Color Statement Lipstick is a stunning metallic bronze-y copper that looks like liquid metal on lips (and it’ll be ideal for your tanned Summer looks too, even though Summer is far away).

Milani Statement Lipstick impressed me when it released a few months ago in a variety of shades at such a great budget price. Shades have a creamy texture with a long wearing formula that’s pigmented.

Milani Bronze Beauty Color Statement Lipstick Swatches

Bronze Beauty is an opaque orange-y copper shade with gold shimmer. The color looks like liquid metal on my lips and has just the right burnt bronze to it to work well as a Fall lip color. I love how metallic and shiny the shade is. It has beautiful golden flecks of shimmer to it that really gives the shade a beautiful metallic finish.

The texture is a little dry so it does tug a bit during application but it wears strong for a solid five hours without migrating. A little gloss on top gives it an even more dramatic finish!

I bought this lipstick this weekend and the color is beautiful. I have auburn hair and fair skin so this color is perfect. It does tug a little but I put lip balm under it and and happy to report there is no bleeding. It also looks great with Mac Chestnut lip liner. I have many, many glosses and lipsticks which I usually pay much more for, however ,you can’t beat this color. My husband never comments on my lip shade, but when I wore this one he asked me if it was a new color. He liked it and he liked the price better. I also like the metallic frost look.

    Hi Miss Muse!
You’ve mentioned in your previous reviews regarding this lipstick that they have a smell. Is it a very strong one? I bought NYX Round lipstick months ago and one of the reasons I could not appreciate it is because of its strong smell that it gave me headaches whenever I could smell it.

        • the Muse

not really, it sticks around for a bit during the wear…if you’re sensitive to flavored/scented lipsticks you’re not going to love these. I believe they are open in store (not sealed) so maybe you can take a sniff in store and see if they agree with you?

Too bad there’s no Milani in the Philippines. I don’t get to sniff it. =(

    • the Muse

sorry Christine…it’s a heavy watermelon scent, that’s the best I can do to describe 🙂

It’s okay, Miss Muse, and thank you. Because these have generally positive reviews, I’ll try to buy one online, hoping that I may be able to endure the smell since watermelon is my favorite fruit. But we both know that the artifical smell is way different from the natural one, right? =)

mmm hmm! too true and this one is kinda a perfume-y watermelon! I really like the lipsticks and think they are fab so hopefully you won’t mind the scent! let me know how it works out for you, I’d be interested to hear!

        Hi, Miss Muse!
Last Monday, I purchased this in an online shop, but in a different shade, which was Plumrose. I will be receiving the item towards the end of December. I’ll do let you know if it works out for me. =)

          • Christine Joy Luikuo

Miss Muse, I already have the lipstick with me and have been testing at the moment. The smell is tolerable! =D my sister sniffed and said she liked the smell. =) I like it but I’m not sure if Plumrose is unflattering on me or it’s just that I’m not used to seeing myself wearing this shade. I also find it a bit drying when applied so I reapplied it with a lip balm underneath.

          • Isabella Muse

it’s strong but I don’t mind it much! :_D some people are completely nauseated by it though which is understandable ;D

Hi, Miss Muse! I just received the lipstick this weekend. I also left my thoughts here last night but I wasn’t sure if it was really posted or not. But then, I’ll retell you my thoughts. Firstly, the taste is tolerable! =) The problem is that it tugs when it’s applied directly to the lips so I have to apply lip balm first before applying the lipstick. Then at first, I thought that Plumrose did not look that good on me, perhaps a bit too cool, and that was when I applied it directly to the lips. When I tried applying lip balm underneath, it already looked better on me because the color was not so intense anymore.

So far, I’m liking it. =)

hi Christine sorry delayed reply! thanks for sharing your thoughts! some of the shades are hit and miss for me, great pigment but sometimes the formula does tug a good deal. I use a lip primer versus a balm for a smoother finish and less tug ;-D I’m glad you like it!

I am looking for a bronzish, copperish color with gold in it and I think this is it, at an affordable price, too! Thank you!
