Shara Shara Bright Level Up Review & Swatches

Shara Shara Bright Level Up Gel Cream

Shara Shara Bright Level Up is a gel moisturizer that supposedly contains high levels of Vitamin C as well as Camu Camu extract (known for it’s whitening/brightening abilities) to give skin a brighter overall appearance.

Does it work?

Shara Shara Bright Level Up Moisturizer

Shara Shara Bright Level Up is definitely one of those gimmicky products you’ll run across from Korean brands. In the Korean market 90% of creams, lotions, and potions promise some sort of brightening or whitening formula. Some work, some don’t. I’d say the Shara Shara Bright Level Up is a miss.

This is a thick honey-like texture that feels incredibly sticky when applied with a bright citrus-y scent. It’s feel incredibly strange on my skin and it takes a bit of massaging to get it full absorbed and even after absorbed it feels sticky as all hell. I actually used the entire jar! All of it! Right down to the last little drop and I saw absolutely nothing different with my skin. Not brightening, not whitening, not fading of dark spots, or easing of dullness…nada, nothing, zero results.

I suffered through all this stickiness for nothing.

Oh well.

You win some, you lose some but trying is still fun!

This you can skip in my opinion but if you’re tempted E-bayer sellers have this little gem for close to retail pricing at around $8-$10.

Tried it?

Do share!

I purchased this item.

Wow, that’s too bad that it didn’t do any brightening despite you using the whole jar and going through all that stickiness! Although Muse, that is why we love you! You actually use the skin care products that you are going to review, and you don’t use it just for 1 or 2 days, which makes us trust you 🙂

lol dita thanks 🙂 <3! gotta suffer through for the sake of the blog hehe!

I’ve been into Korean skincare products lately and Skin Food is the brand I enjoy the most, thanks to your reviews. You’re the IT girl of skincare product reviews so since this is not “Muse approved,” I’m totally skipping this. 🙂

This is exactly the sort of gimmicky product I can’t resist– an Asian gel-type product. Thanks for saving me the bucks on this one. 🙂

Very cute packaging (I love birds) but too bad it doesn’t work and the stickiness doesn’t sound too appealing either.

Muse, you are truly a trooper and a goddess to us beauty addicts! I don’t know what I’d do without you–I definitely wouldn’t have gotten crazy into Korean products! I’m sure my wallet would be fuller, though, lol! I’m going to echo everyone else and applaud the fact that you stick with skin care products you’re reviewing in order to see their (in)effectiveness!

But this product just MAKES ME SO ANGREH!

    *siiiiiigh*

I HATE seeing another poorly-packaged vitamin C product! Given how difficult it is to keep vit. C stabilized, you’d think companies would quit puttin’ it into jars–especially Asian brands, with their focus on brightening and lightening! For shame! And if that gel isn’t already artificially colored, the vivid orange color is a dead giveaway that the vit. C is oxidized to hell and will do your skin more harm than good. SHADIA SMAAASH.

blush hardly but thanks girl 😀 <3! hugs! hehe! I try hard to do that's for sure 😀 I totally related too many Korean products and Asian ones in general promise Vit C but they house it in an unstable packaging which makes it absolutely useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH! so frustrating!
