The new Tarte Clutch The Spirit Lipgloss Set & Clutch ($32) is a new Ulta exclusive set that includes eight shades of Maracuja Lipglosses with a pretty ribboned clutch for gifting (or keeping for yourself) this Holiday season!
Last year Tarte launched the For the Love of Lipgloss Set which included 15 glosses that came in boxes of five each that could act as three seperate gifts! Quite cute but not nearly as pretty as this cool set with clutch!
If you recall the Tarte Purse Your Lips Set from 2008 was quite similar to this new set however, I find the clutch on this set much cuter.
Either way it makes for an excellent little gift for lipgloss lovers that want a little bit more for less.
Tarte Clutch The Spirit Lipgloss Set & Clutch includes this cute foiled gold and purple clutch with a large ribbon snap closure. The clutch is a sturdy, well made accessory that can hold your cell phone and some minor makeup products as well as money and credit cards for an evening out. It’s a fully functionable clutch and quite a fun little extra to include with the glosses.

The shades veer to the cooler shade of pinks and berries here so if you prefer peaches, nudes, or bronzes there aren’t unfortunately any included here as most of the shades are some variation of pink. Colors vary in the pigment department with some shades producing full opaque coverage on lips with others producing sheer results and a shimmery finish. They aren’t terribly glossy and most colors have a cream finish with two or three colors of some sparkle and shimmer. The formula is lightweight, wears comfortably, and has a crisp peppermint scent and flavor. If you like more pigmented glosses with less shine the set should be very pleasing as I’d say six of the eight shades have excellent pigmentation. Wear time varies but I can get three to four hours of wear out of the gloss formula without it migrating, fading, or feathering (without eating or drinking of course!).
Broken down without including the clutch in the price you’re looking at $4 per a gloss which isn’t too bad a deal!
Overall, the Tarte Clutch The Spirit Lipgloss Set & Clutch might be repetitive if you own sets from years past however, if you’re new to Tarte this set is an excellent deal and an even better gift for a friend or family member who loves beauty and makeup. Although I have quite a few gloss sets from Tarte the clutch alone made me want this one!
