6 princess by takashi murakami for shu uemura holiday 2013

With more than half a century of history, “6 heart princess” is a popular anime genre in Japan that follows the adventures of mischievous witch girls called “Majokko,” which is about a normal girl that magically changes into a super woman and explores facets of beauty and womanhood. Takashi Murakami’s re-interpretation includes a sub-culture twist reflecting the timeless and universal theme of transformation, the female desire to reflect another, inner self, the parallel universe between real and surreal, and the dark and light sides that exist in each of us. This holiday collection celebrates the pink and black princesses as feminine icons because every woman has a duality within – nice and naughty, innocent and sexy. The latest from shu uemura allows you to play with the possibilities of multi-faceted beauty and transform into your other self!

The new 6 heart princesses collection inspires women to explore different sides of their personality, which exemplifies Mr. Shu Uemura’s belief that “art is a way of life.” In the quest to constantly innovate and render universal beauty, shu uemura unites with creative visionaries who are globally renowned masters of various art forms like Takashi Murakami. Creativity born of a free imagination and new esthetic standards are at the heart of the brand’s spirit, spurring us on to seek further evolution and unprecedented, timeless beauty for women of all ages.

I bought both of the paralle pallettes a few weeks ago. It was the most I think I’ve ever spent on a pallet, so I was nervous they wouldn’t live up to the price, but they are darling and so so nice. The formulation on everything is perfect. I’ve gotten so much use out of them! (i feel like a magical girl when I do my makeup hehe)

It’s early morning here and I wouldn’t be able to sleep just thinking of these palettes! I want to buy all, but I’ll feel guilty because many of my fellowmen are suffering here in the Philippines because of the recent super typhoon Haiyan.

This collection is so adorable. I’m going to have to check out the high-end beauty shop in my local ginza and see if they are carrying it! I’ve always been afraid to go in there because I’m going to want to try all of the Japanese cosmetics at once!

Uwah! I saw the video. It’s soooo adorable. I was able to try the lip and cheek tints 2 weeks ago in Duty Free. Sadly (or fortunately for my pocket), they didn’t have stock. Coral and the red one is love! Makes me want to haul them. But yeah, I feel a little terrible and insensitive buying something not needed when I could contribute more to my countrymen suffering to the effects of the terrible Haiyan (i’m from Philippines). Sigh. Wish they make this permanent.
