Hadalabo Tokyo Skin Plumping Gel Cream

Hadalabo Tokyo Skin Plumping Gel Cream ($24.99) is a new deeply hydrating gel moisturizer that contains Super Hyaluronic Acid. This particular gel moisturizer is part of the recent Hadalabo Tokyo Skincare Collection that has become available here in the US. Hadalabo is a very popular brand of skincare in Japan and I’ve reviewed many of the products in the past from the line. However, it is nice knowing that I can now get this products here in the US.

Hadalabo Skin Plumping Gel Cream

Hadalabo Skin Plumping Gel Cream combines the benefits of a serum into a gel moisturizer with a super concentration of Hyaluronic Acid that hydrates skin and allows it to maintain moisture.

Hyaluronic Acid not only provides intense moisture but also plumps up finer lines and wrinkles that may occur due to dryness and gives skin a cushiony soft finish.

The gel-like texture kinda reminds of a solidified version of HadaLabo Tokyo Replenishing Hydrator. The gel texture absorbs easily into skin and has a slightly tacky finish that lasts for several minutes before setting down to a soft, dewy to the touch feel on skin. It absorbs easily and you can gently pat it into place for the best absorption.

Collagen helps to improve the skin’s texture as well as reduce the look of finer lines while Arginine, an amino acid, helps skin to retain a smooth, soft appearance. And Ceramide, a naturally occuring lipid, holds moisture and allows skin to restore hydration while creating a barrier of moisture around your complexion so it remains soft and moist.

The formula is very similar to the Japanese release of the Hadalabo Gokujyun Moisturizing Cream but it is considerably less sticky and thick.

This is the type of product that gives aging, drier skin a more plumped, plushy look while restoring much needed moisture and easing dullness created by dryness.

    Which one do you prefer, Hadooplabo Gel Cream or Dr. jart Ceramidine Cream? I want to try both but wanted to get your thoughts first. Thanks!

      depends what issue you want to address erika…Dr Jart’s formula is much more moisturizing if you want something for drier skin where as this is quick absorbing and lighter.

    Musey, thanks for your breakdown of the US version of this line! So this translates to the cream then. Gonna try this once I finish my pot of the original Japanese version. I’m kinda apprehensive about the differences in formulation but the ceramides! The ceramides are calling me! 😀 Plus the thinner consistency might mean I can use this for daytime in deep winter. The original version is way too rich for that. Really appreciate your helpful post! <3 <3 <3

      joy the original is way too much for day use totally….but this you can def get away with as a day/night gel 😀 plus the Tokyo collection is free of parabens if this is a concern for you!

    Hi, Muse! I’ve been using the Hada Labo Tokyo line for about a month, and my combo skin loves it. The products are fragrance-free and gentle yet effective. i got mine at Ulta, and the prices are very affordable!

    Tried this and it is quite nice. I have drier skin with fine lines around the eyes. It does absorb so when I wake it my skin doesn’t have an emollient feel to it. But I think those lines are less noticeable after about a week’s use every night. I ordered the Hadalabo Gokujyun Moisturizing Cream to compare. I usually don’t buy moisturizers that don’t have any actives but this one is a keeper. This line seems to be on sale a lot at Ulta and coupons are good on it (when they actually have products in stock, which is a problem at Ulta).
