Japonesque Velvet Touch Concealer Review & Swatches
Japonesque Velvet Touch Concealer ($20) is a new concealer that launched recently with the new Japonesque Makeup Collection. Yup, Japonesque jumped from awesome brushes to a brilliant makeup line now too that’s available exclusively at Ulta and Ulta.com.
This one is a must get!
Japonesque Velvet Touch Concealer is available in five shades and I’d liken the formula to the incredible creaminess you’d from Kevin Beautymaker Aqua Eye Concealer, Shills Electric Eyes Concealer, and Shills Closer to You.
This concealer is so creamy, so moist, and just positively beautiful to apply and blend. The formula is much like the ones I listed above however, if you’ve never tried obscure Asian brands you might not recognize some of those products. In that case, I’d say you can compare it to a lighter, creamy, less thicker version Bobbi Brown Concealer.
It comes in a tiny 0.052 oz square case with a pretty watercolor design and a mirror inside the case. I choose shade 2 which was an excellent match for my skin tone. Although creamy and hydrating at first it has a drier finish thus the Velvet Touch in the name I guess. It does go a bit velvety but it doesn’t age my drier eyes nor does it creep into my finer eyes. It simply feels like I set my concealer with powder (which eliminates the need for me to do so as well). The wear time is around six hours before I see some fading and feel like I need a bit of a touch up.
I’m pretty impressed with the Japonesque Velvet Touch Concealer! It’s creamy, it blends easily, it covers quite well (I’d say it has sheer to medium coverage), and it brightens up my eyes and gives me the five hour extra sleep look!
Good stuff!
It’s available now at Ulta and Ulta.com.
Don’t forget to try out the Velvet Touch Foundation! That’s my next purchase! Really liked it when I swatched it in store!
