Marc Jacobs Beauty Lust For Lacquer Lip Vinyl Review & Swatches
Marc Jacobs Beauty Lust For Lacquer Lip Vinyl ($28) is a champagne grape infused lipgloss (whoa!) that was recently launched with the Marc Jacobs Makeup & Beauty Collection that launched this past Fall.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Lust For Lacquer Lip Vinyl is slightly misleading because it has “Sheer” at the end of the title however, the lip vinyl name implies it is more pigmented than it is.
Hmmm!
Here are some thoughts!
I’ve only tried Heart Shaped which is a pretty shimmering peachy baby pink and I must say as pretty, sparkly, and lovely the formula is I thought it was a touch high. At nearly $30 if ALL the shades are as sheer as Heart Shaped I think I’ll be very disappointed at $30 bucks yes?
That being said the formula is rather luxurious. It has a faint vanilla perfume-ish taste and flavor with light reflecting pigments that give it a super sparkly effect. It give lips a hint of tint with beautiful shine and glossiness yet nothing that’s heavy or too sticky or tacky. It glides on beautifully and has that soft, cushy feel of a plumping lipgloss. It does have a very slight tingle in the background just thought I’d note that for sensitive users.
I think my main worry with the gloss was I was paying so much for sparkle but not a lot of color but I can’t deny the formula is positively beautiful! It wears a solid four hours as well and for something without a ton of stickiness that’s rather great! But in the end, as you can see, it looks rather tinted on my lips right?
Perhaps Marc Jacobs Beauty Lust For Lacquer Lip Vinyl might wriggle its way onto the Muse Approved list. I’ve been playing with the idea of grabbing a few more shades….
For now I wish it was around $22-$24 dollars!
