Revlon Age Defying Wrinkle Remedy Line Filler Review & Swatches

revlon age defying wrinkle remedy line filler

Revlon Age Defying Wrinkle Remedy Line Filler ($9.99 at Harmons) just recently launched at drugstores with a new Age Defying Foundation and Revlon Age Defying Targeted Dark Spot Concealer Treatment.

I’ve never tried it but this is apparently a new packaged Revlon Age Defying Precise Wrinkle Eraser as they have the same packaging and practically the same name. I can’t compare the formulas as I never tried the old one but here are my thoughts on the new one.

You need not apply if you have youthful eyes as Revlon Age Defying Wrinkle Remedy Line Filler is all about addressing aging eyes and finer lines. This is basically a primer for your eyes like Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer with a silicone base that fills, smooths, and blurs the appearance of finer lines and crow feet around your eyes. Clarins actually has a product like this called Instant Smooth Line Correcting Concentrate but this is considerably cheaper than that version! I typically use the Clarins Instant Smooth Line Correcting Concentrate myself or a bit of Clarins Instant Smooth Face Primer or Mally Beauty’s Perfect Prep Eye Primer. But again, this is by far a cheaper option.

Basically this is a lighter texture than your typical silicone based primer. It has a thick cream texture which you can apply under and around your eyes. The silicone base feels a bit hydrating and allows for a smoother appearance under your eyes that allows concealer to apply more easily and gives your concealer something to hang on to. Think of painting a wall…you wouldn’t simply throw paint on a wall and expect it to look beautifully smooth would you? You’d use a primer first right? Revlon Age Defying Wrinkle Remedy Line Filler smooths finer lines and dryness away so your concealer won’t crease into finer lines and you’ll have a softer, smoother area to blend out your concealer.

It’s actually a very handy tool when used correctly.

If you’re starting to see the effects of smaller, finer lines or if your concealer creases a lot I’d suggest checking out Revlon Age Defying Wrinkle Remedy Line Filler. It’ll extend the wear concealer and fill minor lines around your eyes so your concealer will look its best which leads to better looking less finely lined eyes.

I like it.

Good for the budgeter out there that have wanted to try a more eye primer but weren’t willing to dish $20 or more on one!

I purchased this item.

*screams into the heavens* YES! I have been looking for an undereye primer just like Smashbox’s that wouldn’t cost me an arm and a leg and this looks perfect! Revlon’s also 40% off at both Rite Aid and Wags this week so here’s to hoping I can find one that stocks this!

    Thank you, Muse! 🙂

my pleasure mj but this is more silicone based where as the smashbox is more moisturizing just a warning! 🙂

Hello, I just bought this two days ago and I’ve been using it but I’m wondering if I’m applying it incorrectly because I still see the lines under my eyes. And the concealer is still settling into the lines. I might go as far to say I think the lines are more noticable with the use of this product. So, this is how I use the product. I squeeze about half a pea size on my ring finger and smooth the product under my eyes. Is there another trick to the application process? Thanks.

It sounds like you aren’t waiting for it to dry first. Try waiting 5 minutes or so.

This stuff is absolutely HORRIBLE. Tried it this a.m. for the first time-it’s going back TODAY. Made the lines under my eyes even WORSE. My concealer looks dry and cakey and I look about 100 years old. Don’t waste your money.

works great for the price. Sounds like a lot of you girls might need a tutorial on how to apply creams and concealer …
