Revlon Charmed Cream Blush Review & Swatches

Revlon Charmed Blush

Revlon Charmed Cream Blush is a new shade of Photoready Cream Blush ($9.99 at Harmons, Christmas Tree Store, or Bed, Bath, and Beyond) that launched with the Revlon Cheek Boutique for Spring 2014. I’m not sure if this is a limited edition shade or if it will be available as part of the permanent collection soon as the display doesn’t say anything. So if you want it I’d jump on it as the display seems to be limited to merely two pots.

Let’s take a look!

Revlon Photoready Cream Blush isn’t really a new product however, it seems they dropped the “Photoready” from the name in this case and it is simply called Revlon Cream Blush as on seen on the box. Currently the general catalog has three shades available so hopefully at some point Charmed becomes a permanent shade or perhaps Revlon will launch more shades for Spring 2014 considering how popular the product is with beauty lovers.

This pot is 0.44 oz in size which is bigger than the MAC Casual Colour Lip & Cheek Colors which are 0.38 oz in size and of course, bigger than Bobbi’s newly packaged Pot Rouge which are 0.13 oz down from the original pot of 0.38 oz. So you see you’re getting A LOT of blush for a little amount of money although the $9.99 price tag will likely raise at mass drugstores like CVS and Walgreens to around $12-$13.99 per pot but still a good deal none the less.

Revlon Charmed Cream Blush Swatches

Charmed is a winter rose shade to me. It has elements of raspberry to it but also a nice rose element as well which makes it an easier to wear shade of pink for many skin types. The texture is smooth and creamy with a satiny dry down on skin that isn’t tacky or dewy like Bobbi’s Pot Rouge. It doesn’t cling to my drier areas and it shouldn’t accentuate pores as the color runs sheerer. The color blends very easily on cheeks and pretty much has a fuss-free, mess-free application. It is actually very sheer though so I had to build up quite a few layers for the best intensity and even after that I was still see a very subtle rosiness on my cheeks. This isn’t really a bad thing but compared to the original formula I thought the texture was slightly thinner and the pigment and color pay off considerably sheerer. I wore it last night for about 4 hours but around hour five it started to fade. Today I was up at the crack of dawn so I applied around 5 am and it is now 8.30 am and I’m just starting to see fading!

Revlon Charmed Cream Blush is a no nonsense, easy to apply blush that gives a pretty flush of natural color to cheeks. Some might be disappointed as the subtly of the color but others might just love the natural tint and airbrushed finish it provides.

Revlon Charmed Cream Blush FOTD

I liked it overall. It’s a bit different from what we’ve seen from the original Photoready Cream Blushes but nice none the less. Plus, I didn’t try it, but no one says you can’t slather a bit on your lips as well as this color looks like a pretty MLBB shade (my lips but better!).

I got mine at Bed, Bath, and Beyond so check both Harmons and Christmas Tree stores if your BBB doesn’t have it. As of now I have not seen it at CVS, Walgreens, etc…!

Hmm, good to know. I like that it doesn’t stay overly dewy, but I would like it to be more pigmented, so as to get more mileage out of it. Thanks for the review! 🙂

the sweater is adorable! I have a similar one from a few years ago that is red with black skulls & it’s been worn so much it has nubs all over it. love it!

and the blush looks good too!

You said you don’t like using your fingers in pots because of germs, etc. I use a small stipple brush to apply my cream blushes and use my fingers on my face only if a little extra blending is required. I’ll definitely be looking for these new Revlon blushes!

Yay! I really liked the photo ready cream blushes. I have the pink. And coral shades. This looks super pretty, and great for the winter. Thanks for the heads up!

couldn’t tell in the swatch but is there any glitter or shimmer? I had a coral photoready blush and i really didn’t enjoy the shimmer in it and I kind of want to try this one out 🙂

    • the Muse

Great review as always 🙂 I’m a little dissapointed with the color payoff but this might be nice for a natural to no makeup look

How do I order the Revelon charmed 150 Cream blush and how much is it

  • Susan hunt

This Revlon cream blush in charmed color seems to have been discontinued and I’m down to my last pot. Have you found anything similar in color and application?

try the E.L.F. Putter Blush in Caribbean! Sadly not an exact dupe of the color but the formula and consistency are a lot alike.
