Revlon Highlighting Palette for Spring 2014

Revlon Highlighting Palette

Revlon Highlighting Powders have launched with the new Revlon Cheek Boutique recently at Harmons and Bed, Bath, and Beyond locations in three shade selections. If you’re a mush for highlighters I’m sure you’re going to adore these palettes.

Take a quick look at them!

Revlon Highlighting Powders are $8.49 at Harmons at the moment but I suspect once mass drugstores start getting them the price will be considerably higher. In my prior post on the Revlon Cheek Boutique Collection I had mentioned that these quite remind me of drugstore and high end highlighter palettes that are available now or have been in the past. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind here would be Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks.

These aren’t really a Holiday release nor are they are a Winter one so they are likely a little sneak peek of what we have in store for us for the Revlon Spring 2014 Makeup Collection. I’m unsure if they are limited edition but I think it is safe to say they will likely become part of the permanent collection.

These are available in the following shades:

  • Peach Glow
  • Rose Glow
  • Bronze Glow

Each palette features three strips of color with Rose Glow having the more shimmery shades and Bronze Glow and Peach Glow having more satiny glow shades. I haven’t yet tried them but they look quite lovely!

As I said before they do remind me a lot of products I’ve seen in the past from drugstore brands like Milani used to have a similar highlighting palette back in the day!

However, at this price and from what I have seen they appear to be quite a nice formula but I’ll review and swatch deeper soon!

Anyone see the display at there store?

Do share!

Man, you are ON IT. I just heard about these today and decided to see if you knew anything more about them. This is incredible considering you have a full time job and presumably sleep.

    • the Muse

sleep? what’s sleep? I heard of it before but not sure what it is! LOL 😀

I wonder how Harmon/BB&B gets all this stuff weeks in advance of anyone else? You’d think with Ulta’s purchasing power (over 600 stores in 46 states, plus online), they could get up front…or at least not lag so far behind.

We don’t have these yet, but I’m looking forward to them! I just picked up 3 of the Physician’s Formula Shimmer Strips, and am *loving* them, but there’s always room for more!

Rose Glow looks so pretty! As I don’t have any other highlight/blush strip powders like these, I might pick one up.

Oh, I so hope these are comparable to Bobbi Brown Shimmerbrick.
    The Rose Glow looks lovely.
Muse, any other substitutes for the Shimmerbrick?

listed most of what I know in the post Vail….! mememe, milani, physicians formula also used to do one and I’m sure you can find online/ebay/etc. 🙂

Physician’s Formula still does them. I just picked up Malibu, Maui, & Riviera, which are all on the lighter end, and run cooler/neutral. Vegas is lighter, as well, but warmer. Sunset & Waikiki are darker & warmer, like “true” bronzers. HTH

i got the rose glow one the other day (could NOT resist the shimmer!) and when applied over blush on the cheekbones…oh man is the look gorgeous! there is a slight glitter to the finish, but not glitzy. it will take a lot of will-power to not go getting the other 2…

I bought the rose one today at my local Christmas Tree Shop (20% off too).

Ooooh. These look so nice. We don’t have Harmon’s & I don’t have a BBB with makeup near me:(. Hope the texture on these is good without too much shimmer. Very exciting

Hi! Been a long time reader and visitor of your site and first time posting on here. I bought the Rose Glow one at BB&B after seeing your post. I have been on the hunt for a cheaper version of Bobbi Brown’s shimmer brick and this one is perfect!

    • the Muse

I am SO happy to hear it worked out for you shirley and at such a great price 🙂 enjoy! and thanks for commenting today!

Just picked up the Rose Glow today at The christmas tree shops at 20% off thanks to your coupon post!! Thx again. Its so pretty on its own but i already had Nars sex appeal on and put this overtop, gorgeous!!! The whole new set is beautifully. They had all 3 palettes, the cream blush and all the 8 shades of the single blushes, i cant remember how many exactly but i think 8. They also had the new CC foundation and dual nail polishes. They did not however have the skinlights yet. Hopefully they pop up soon! I really want the bare and pink lights 🙂

Muse, these remind me of the bobbi brown shimmer bricks as well, though Ive never owned any. Think it could be a dupe? Could you do a swatch off?!

    • the Muse

yay sounds awesome 😀 I got the blushes myself, eager to try them out! I’ll def be swatching/reviewing soon as I try them.

I have 2 of the 3 palettes Muse, Peach & Bronze and I can’t say enough I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new palettes. It is outstanding the sparkles are very deceiving but do not transfer to the face as much as you see in the pan. I totally recommend anyone to purchase right now!!!!
