Softymo Waterproof Point Makeup Remover Review

Softymo Waterproof Point Makeup Remover

Softymo Waterproof Point Makeup Remover launched in Japan recently! You might be familiar with the original Softymo Point Makeup Remover which gets quite a good deal of attention on shows in in beauty magazines in Japan but proves to be a rather disappointing product for those that wear heavier, waterproof eye makeup!

I was quite excited when Softymo Waterproof Point Makeup Remover launched as I’ve had great success with waterproof eye makeup removers from Japan like Biore Makeup Remover for Eyes and Lips.

Let’s take a look!

Softymo Waterproof Point Makeup Remover didn’t quite turn out to be what I had hoped. This comes in a larger bottle than the original formula and appears to be a bi-phase formulation but on closer inspection it looks more like sudsy water.

It actually removes eyeshadow easily enough but does a poorer job with waterproof or regular mascara as well as gel and pencil eyeliners (you can also use it on lips as well as it is an eye and lip makeup remover). I swiped off my eyeshadow in a snap but when it came to my mascara it left behind a TON of product and the same goes for eyeliner. I’m not terribly sensitive but it did make my eyes tingle and burn slightly during use as well but thankfully didn’t cause any cloudy vision.

Unfortunately the formula for me was as disappointing as the original. If you’re currently looking into purchasing this I’d skip it, it’s just not that great!

AlphabeautyUK on E-bay sells this if you are interested.
