Stila Color Me Glossy Lip Glaze Set Review & Swatches
We talked so much about those monster Crayola sets lately that it didn’t surprise me the Stila Color Me Glossy Lip Glaze Set ($25) is shaped exactly like a package of ’em!
Stila went out of there way this to make their Holiday 2013 Collection very appealing to the artistic types out there as everything is shaped like something you’d pick up at your local art store including this Stila Color Me Glossy Lip Glaze Set which flips open like a big old box of crayons.
Mmm…Santa, forget the makeup, I kinda want a box of crayons for Christmas this year. Especially if they are as delicious and glossy as Stila Lip Glazes!
Facts is facts my favorite gloss collection for the Holidays is typically the traditional Stila Holiday Lip Glaze Set because one they pack it with variety and two it typically consists of generously sized glosses (.05 oz each).
Stila Color Me Glossy Lip Glaze Set actually breaks down into three gifts should you feel a bit less greedy about gifting makeup. Three trios of Lipgalze come in one larger cardboard box however, each of those sets comes in their own packaging with a TO: and FROM: tag for gifting. So you can keep a set for yourself with shades you love and gift the other two sets as stocking stuffers or a small Secret Santa gift. Nifty right?
Stila Lip Glaze is one my favorite gloss formulas as it is typically pigmented, tasty, and wears long. Each gloss comes in a click style pen with an attached lip brush for application. The glosses have a subtle fruity flavor and fragrance (typically each has an individually flavor but in this case they all tasted the same to me). They have a good deal of tack but it’s not an unpleasant stickiness! I’d like the texture to a thicker MAC Lipglass formula. They wear quite strong at around 4 to 5 hours thanks to that tackiness.
Melon, Passion Fruit, Persimmon, Strawberry Cream, Wildberry
Amaretto, Cranberry, Dazzle Berry, Kaleidoscope
The round of colors is very nice here as you get creams, shimmers, subtle shades and nicely pigmented ones too. So a little bit of everything! About half the shades are pigmented enough to give an opaque finish and the hours more of a sheerer tint.
Needless to say this an excellent value and gets a Muse Approval.
If you love Stila Lip Glaze it is a no brainer pick up and for those that want more for less this is a set that brings it.
Cranberry
Dazzle Berry
