Within the first large box you’ll find the Tarte Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette which includes 16 Full Size Eyeshadows. I haven’t compared this palette to the Tarte Gorgeous Getaways Portable Palette however, I did just briefly set it beside the Tarte of Giving Collector’s Set and they are pretty different palettes. This palette includes more essentials shades of color with shadows that have a matte, shimmer, and satin finish. The colors here are great for everyday looks that are office friendly. Colors include browns, beiges, soft roses, taupes, and a few “fun” shades like green.

The shadows all have excellent pigment with a soft, silky, lightweight texture that blends easily. Tarte’s shadows are not comparable to Too Faced, Urban Decay, or MAC eyeshadows. They do not have that intense a pigment and are best used for softer less dramatic looks. I personally appreciate their shadow formula because they are easy to use to create soft focused eye looks especially on aging eyes. If you’re wanting intense, dramatic eyeshadow these aren’t something you’ll love.

I haven’t personally tried Tarte Lipsurgence Lip Creams before. I’d say the formula was closet to the Lipsurgence Matte Lip Tints but more of a creamy, pigmented formula and a satin finish. The Lip Cremes formula are the heaviest and best color payoff from the Lipsurgence Collection.
The creamy consistency wears solid for a good five hours and leaves a staining effect after they have worn away. They are heavier and thicker than other Lipsurgence Pencils but the texture is comfortable through the wear. They glide on without tugging and provide an opaque finish with a single application.
I personally love the Lipsurgence pencils anyway I can get them but was very impressed with the formula here. The creamy consistency wears nicely for a solid for hours and around hour five shows fading and leaves a staining effect behind. They are a bit thicker and heavier than other Lipsurgence formulas but nothing that’s uncomfortable through the wear. The texture is very creamy and glides onto lips without tugging. And as I mentioned the color pay off is excellent providing full opacity with a single application.

And in the last box we have two full size Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara as well as two smolderEyes Waterproof Eyeshadow/Liner Pencils in Fig (plum) and Matte Brown (chocolate).
I’ve been a fan of smolderEyes for a while now. They are intensely pigmented and glide on lids like melted butter. The formula is so creamy and so easy to blend! It’s just beautiful! You can sheer it out or wear it full on for a more dramatic eye look and the double sided pencil has a smudger on one end which makes it easy to smoky it out quickly!
And of course, who can forget Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara…! Another fav of mine and I think before and after photos below speak for themselves about how well it performs!
For my look below I used Tarte Lipsurgence Lip Cream in Wonder on my lips and a bit of the Matte Brown SmolderEyes Pencil smudged all over my eyes. I just wanted to do a simple look to show you how pretty and essential the shades are for daily looks!
Needless to say the Tarte Bow & Go is a value. This actually veers away from traditional Holiday looks and gifts you instead with shades you’ll use daily. Don’t get me wrong a ton of sparkly eyeshadows and red lipsticks makes for a festive Holiday look but essentials are something you’ll be able to use throughout the use for great daily looks and Tarte’s Bow & Go Holiday Gift Collection includes plenty of great shades to create endlessly great looks throughout the year.
