Tarte Bow & Go Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette Swatches20

The Tarte Bow & Go is a new QVC Today’s Special Value that’s launching this Monday (November 18 @ 12AM EST) for $49. It includes a variety of full size Tarte makeup products as well as a Tarte Bow & Go Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette that includes 16 full size eyeshadows.

I’ll have a review of the complete set live on Monday for the launch but here are some swatches and photos of the Tarte Bow & Go Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette.

Take a look!

This is a slim line palette much like the one you’ll get with the Tarte of Giving Collector’s Set & Travel Bag or last year’s Treat Yourself to Gorgeous Collection.

Tarte went a bit more essential with this shadow palette as you get a strong variety of colors you’d use in daily looks with a mixture of satin and matte finishes. There are browns, beiges, soft roses, taupes, and greens here.

I’ll review the palette in more detail in an upcoming post but here are some swatches.

Muse is the set worth it? I just order it based solely on the Lipsurgence Lip cremes and the mascaras but I had last years eyeshadows and wasn’t crazy about the pigmentation.

    • 11/15/13 10:55 the Muse:

i haven’t really sat down to review it all yet sylvia but will have a compiled review of everything Monday and give the good word! Tarte isn’t UD or Too Faced :) so the shadows aren’t up to that quality but if you’re older and having finer lines/etc you can def appreciate the lighter texture of their shadows. I really liked last year’s set so I suspect I’ll give a go on Bow & Go. You can always gift away the palette and other items and keep the lip cremes for yourself :)

      • 11/15/13 12:09 Sylvia:

Thanks Muse! That’s true! but I am greedy when it comes to makeup :p. I ‘ll probably play with them and see. I do like this years colors more than last year. Not older eyes yet, but with all the postgrad studying I suspect is not so far behind :)

        • 11/15/13 12:50 the Muse:

mmm that’s the keyword post grad! You’re still young so you def can get away brighter more pigmented colors so it is understand why you aren’t so into this palette ;D qvc is cool about returns on makeup if that helps 😀

Oh my the playful plum is divine. So upset that tarte isn’t available in the UK :(

I purchased this set from QVC. I’m extremely happy with it. The eyeshadow colors are wonderful for everyday use. Like Muse said, Tarte isn’t Urban Decay, but I actually appreciate that. I love UD’s Naked palettes for the same reason that I love Tarte. Both offer lovely everyday colors. Where Tarte differs from UD is that Tarte offers many more matte colors. I also find tarte eyeshadows are a little bit easier for me to use because they are less pigmented but that’s not to say that they aren’t pigmented because they are. If you like a more natural look but still like to experiment or play around with makeup then you will enjoy this set. I’ve been looking for that sage color for a long time! It’s stunning. The lipsurgence colors are nice colors but I prefer the texture of gloss so I gave those to my daughter as she loves to play dress up with them. I am usually not that crazy about the mascara samples that I get from Tarte but this particular one is great. They really make my lashes pop. All in all, this is one of my favorite holiday palette purchases. A great value in my opinion.

I bought it last night on easy pay, it was 3 easy payments of $19(and some chNge can’t remember exactly how much!) so excited to get it! I mainly bought it for the lipsurgence creme sand the smoldereyes but now I’m excited about the shadows they look beautiful!! Thanks muse!!!

  • 11/16/13 17:12 Michelle:

Hi! Could you do a comparison between this palette and the Collector’s Set & Travel Bag from Sephora? I’m looking for more matte, neutral colors for everyday wear. These colors look beautiful!
