Bobbi Brown Bobbi & Katie Palette Review & Swatches

Bobbi Brown Bobbi and Katie Palette

Bobbi Brown and Katie Holmes collaborated and created the Bobbi & Katie Palette ($68) together earlier this Fall. As Bobbi’s first ever spokes model, Katie has made quite an impression in some of the most recent promotional images for collections that have launched the past few months. And with the Bobbi & Katie Palette we get more of what Katie is known for, the girl next door look! Fresh burst of pinks, natural shades of shadow, and colors that are perfect for a natural, pretty look await you in this palette.

Take a look!

Bobbi and Katie Palette

The Bobbi & Katie Palette is a cute book shaped palette that’s home to eight eyeshadows, an eye pencil, and two Pot Rouge shades. It also includes a generously sized mirror inside with Bobbi and Katie’s name printed on it.

Eyeshadows:

  • Pink Chiffon (medium shimmery pink)
  • Brown Sugar (shimmering brown mauve)
  • Pink Quartz (warm champagne pink)
  • Ballet (light pink glitter)
  • Cream (creamy beige)
  • Antique Rose (rosy brown)
  • Stone (beige brown)
  • Black Cocoa (dark brown sparkle)

Pot Rouge:

  • Pretty Powerful (medium true pink)
  • Raspberry (deep pink)

Eyeliner Pencil:

  • Chocolate (dark brown)

Although I prefer peach on my cheeks lately and my eyes nude and natural with golds or browns I must admit pink has always been a color I’ve pulled off very well. This has some beautifully crisp, cool shades of pinks for eyes, lips, and cheeks. It’s not a color palette everyone will love and even the formula, which runs sheerer on many of the shadows, isn’t something everyone will love either. I, however, adore it. It’s the type of no nonsense palette that makes makeup application easy and breezy. You can put together a look in seconds and its makeup that makes itself known but also looks very natural as if you’re not really wearing much at all!

The shadows do run sheerer here but all of them have a very soft, silky texture that apply and blend out easily while wearing long and strong on eyes. The Chocolate Eyeliner has a soft, creamy texture that glides onto my lash line easily and smudges out to a nice smokiness should I desire. The pot rouges are creamy and easy to use on either face (even eyes if you want) and lips! These have a very long, strong hold for all day wear. Pot Rouge has always been a fav product of mine due to the long wear and these do not disappoint.

I gave this palette to my sister for her birthday and it is perfect on her. She’s Bobbi Brown Warm Sand with dark brown hair and green eyes. For some reason the neutral/browns in this palette make her eyes extra green. I may need to one of these for me!

I have this palette too, and I really really love it! It’s one of my favorite palettes. The colors are all very natural and wearable, and they blend really well. That’s one of the most important things for me with eyeshadow. I personally actually like it better than my Naked 3. The theme is similar, but it’s just more wearable colors that blend better. I like having the browns and pinks in the same palette. I do love that you get everything all in one in this palette (the rouges make great lip gloss too), but I hate that the powders get in the creams.

If you’re interested, I’ve got swatches up on paler skin on my blog (SirenPrincessBeauty). I always love looking at how swatches look different on different skin, but these look pretty true to pan across different tones. Brown Sugar and Stone are my favorite colors. BTW, you have your Cream and Stone swatch labels swapped.

    Thanks for the review!

The colors are so pretty, but I worry about the dust from the shadows messing up the blushers.

MMM very true hate cream and powder blushes in one compact le sigh! I typically lay the plastic film it comes with over the blushes to avoid the powder getting on them when I am applying!
