It Cosmetics Feel the Moment Sensory Awakening Primer Serum

The new It Cosmetics Feel the Moment Sensory Awakening Primer Serum gets a launch with the upcoming It Cosmetics New Year Your Most Beautiful You Collection coming to QVC this December.

As of now it isn’t sold on its own but I suspect at some point it will be just like Eye Lift in a Tube.

It Cosmetics already has a brand new primer they recently launched entitled No 50 Serum Foundation Primer but this new It Cosmetics Feel the Moment Sensory Awakening Primer Serum takes things to a whole new level!

It Cosmetics Feel the Moment Sensory Awakening Primer Serum2

Housed in a glass jar with a dropper for application It Cosmetics Feel the Moment Sensory Awakening Primer Serum is an anti-aging ultra hydrating serum created with caviar extract, hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, hyaluronic acids, vitamins A, E, and C, argan, jojoba, avocado, and deep ocean water as well as essential oils.

For me it’s very much a dupe of Hourglass No 28 Primer Serum and considering how much I love Hourglass’s formula I’m thrilled that Feel the Moment is so similar.

I think if you’re already using products like Argan Oil, LOreal Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Glow Renewal Facial Oil, Tarte Maracuja Oil, etc…and want to take things to another level of moisture than this is your product to do so!

This has a thicker gel-like consistency than the Hourglass formula. It’s slightly sticky at first and a little goes a VERY LONG way. A single drop will hydrate your entire face and provide super intense moisture. I was surprised It decided to call it a primer because really it should be reserved as a night treatment because it is SUPER rich. The moisture a single drop provides surpasses anything you’ll find from the likes of Argan oil, etc…! They suggest applying a small amount and waiting two to three minutes prior to makeup application. Now that Winter has set in I was surprised that I didn’t have a problem wearing this in the AM so long as I do as they suggest and allow it to set. I actually skip moisturizer when I am using this because adding anything else onto your face is overkill. A single drop of this will act to prep, prime, and hydrate your skin. It’s particularly great if you use minerals or powder products and don’t want them clinging to your drier areas as this works much like Make Up For Ever HD Elixir where it’s paving the way for your makeup to look more natural and flawless so it isn’t sitting on top of your skin in an unusual way due to dryness.

I imagine for older more mature skin that suffers from dryness this will be a god sent (heck, it’s a god sent for my dry skin and I don’t have issues with finer lines or wrinkles as of yet) as it’ll allow for a smoother easy to apply makeup experience.

And yes, I guess I did break the rules slightly because I applied it overnight as well since it provided such great moisture. I wake up and my skin looks rather incredible thanks to all that much needed moisture to supplies.

Moral of this story is if you already use oils on your face or simply love Hourglass No 28 chances are you’re going to ADORE It Cosmetics Feel the Moment Sensory Awakening Primer Serum!

So funny….I wore this to bed last night instead of a regular moisturizer, and woke up to some serious baby soft skin. I’m cautious because lavender oil usually breaks me out….and this stuff contains it…I bought the kit before any ingredients were available…I have a soft spot for it cosmetics…..The powder though…..I’m on the fence about though……

I got this TSV, but I sent it back. I have oily skin and the primer just drew my makeup into my pores. My face was streaked with my makeup in an hour! I do love IT’s other primer, however.

Is it scented? I love the texture of the HG serum, but my skin can’t tolerate the fragrance.

    • Isabella Muse

it is, smells just like the Hourglass one, a fresh herbal scent with a high lavender note.

I love IT but I’m not a fan of the HourGlass #28 and I’m not a fan of the luminizer so I think this set is a skip for me :/ good for my pocket-book ha.

    Muse,
What is the difference between the two IT primers? Why would I choose this over No.50? Love your blog!
    Thank You!

Ok, based on your glowing review of this, I just ordered one! I have always been a freak for moisturized skin and (cough) at my age (cough) I think this will be an asset to my normal routine (but maybe not to my wallet!)

Ok, so I got this and I’m LOVING it. I can see why they include the fan brush. What I’ve done is just wipe the applicator dropper along the edge tips of the fan brush and then use that to apply it lightly all over my face. Then I blend it with my fingers to smooth it out and make sure it’s spread all over. I have used it twice now and then read the directions (ha-ha.) and saw that I could apply it over my regular moisturizer. I will do that in the future because just using it alone, altho it made my skin very smooth and soft, it felt tight and dry, which I’m not accustomed to. I use some really heavy duty moisturizers and even skin oils and without out that on, I had that strange tight feeling I’m just not accustomed to any more. But I love this product. It like the lavender fragrance, too. Thanks for your great review/recommendation. This is a definite win!

the fan brush REALLY helps to sheer out the thicker/richer texture of the primer 😀 I really love the primer 😀 happy to hear it girl 😀 good for winter wearing and sweeping away dry icky skin!

  • Phyrra

I have this and I need to try it! Though i always have to wear SPF during the day, I couldn’t see skipping that.

I’m LOVING the review on this! It’s got me soo excited! Especially since I was just in Sephora today trying to pick a new primer and decided to wait it out and give my wallet a break. I stuck to my usual Nyx photo finish primer, which is a PERFECT dupe for smashbox’s photo finish primer by the way. I really do want to challenge you with that “a drop goes a really long way,” if this soothes my dry face (especially in the winter) i’ll be on cloud nine. If it’s that good, heck i’ll probably use it on my extremely dry hands. My only concern is how long does it keep makeup on for? Would u still want to spray urself with like UD night long spray after or is it all u need? I sweat a lot when I dance, and the only one that’s not left me with a bare face by the end of the night is Smashbox’s photo finish

I want to get this soooooooo soooooooo bad lol…..but i want to know how long this last. Thanks for this review muse 🙂 let me know if this prolongs or not im on the hunt for a prolonging primer for dry skin.
