Estee Lauder Amber Halo Pure Color High Intensity Lip Lacquer Review & Swatches
I dunno if Estee Lauder Amber Halo Pure Color High Intensity Lip Lacquer would actually come home with me on any given day I was passing by the EL counter on a browse….
BUT since I own it now I thought, hey, I’ll try this out. I mean who doesn’t love muddy shades of tan for their lips right?
I’ve fallen deeply in love with Estee Lauder Pure Color High Intensity Lip Lacquers recently. You know the legendary kind of love like the one between Jack and Lili. I mean when you forgive the chick you’ve fallen in love with for nearly snapping off the horn of a Unicorn like a toothpick that has to be real love right? Now if I were Lili I’d have chosen Tim Curry, I mean ahem, Darkness. Just sayin’! And for those that feel the same there’s a fanfic for that.
Take a look at Estee Lauder Amber Halo Pure Color High Intensity Lip Lacquer.
Estee Lauder Amber Halo Pure Color High Intensity Lip Lacquer isn’t the easiest color to sport as it is a muddy shade of tan. These is for ALL the true nude girls out there. You know who you are you hardcorers you! As for me I’m scared of it!
The thick, creamy consistency of Estee Lauder’s Pure Color High Intensity Lip Lacquers are one part gloss thanks to the high shine finish and all parts liquid lipstick that’s to the opaque color they offer. They wear fairly lightweight on lips with a slightly tacky finish that allows for a good six hours of wear. Colors due tend to drag during application but I find swiping the sponge applicator back and forth across lips during application makes for an easier and smoother finish. I love them for the shine, I love the color they pack, and I adore the long wear. I’ve run across some shades that you’ll have to pry from my dead cold hands if you want access to them! And like the regular Pure Color Lipgloss range these have wriggled their way onto my HG (holy grail) list.
Amber Halo isn’t a shade I’d recommend unless you’re a hardcore nude fan. The shade is a difficult to pull off or at least I think so. It offers full color coverage but the milky chocolate tan shade makes me look like I stepped out of the pages of the latest volume of the walking dead…not pretty! The secret to making it wearable? Sheer it out with clear gloss like I did below!
If you can rock it though the formula is ace with a long wear, high shine, and incredible pigmentation!
What do you think?
Amber Halo a go for you?
