Too Faced Pink Chocolate La Creme fotd

Too Faced Pink Chocolate La Creme Lipstick ($22) is one of five new shades that Too Faced is adding to their permanent collection for Spring 2014. I have to say brown (or in this case chocolate) added to pink or rose anything always works so well. You’d think something as delicate and girlish as pink just wouldn’t get on well with muddy old boring brown but that goes to show you about opposites attracting.

This gorgeous shade is worth a pick up!

Too Faced Pink Chocolate La Creme

Too Faced Pink Chocolate La Creme Lipstick is described as a berry brown. I feel like that’s a pretty accurate description although on my lips it does have a bit of peach to it and a whole lot of dusky warmth. The color is fairly opaque and wears for a solid four hours without fading, migrating, or feathering.

The high luminous shine keeps lips nicely hydrated through the wear and the creamy consistency applies like melted butter. La Creme is such a surprising formula because I personally go into cream finish lipsticks with caution as they tend to be a little drying on me and less than pretty. La Creme is creamy but it also has an almost lightweight balminess to it that makes for a very pleasant and moisturizing wear. It has a lemon sugary taste and flavor that’s very pleasant as well!

Colors like Pink Chocolate always wear very well on me so I was quite happy to add to this shade to the line up! I’d love to see a more rosy brown in the future but for now I’m working Pink Chocolate for the Holidays and into Valentine’s Day!

Loves it!

Gorgeous shade and it gets a big Muse Approval.

It’s available now at toofaced.com and launches at Sephora.com on December 19th!

Do you like the shade?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Do you know of a Mac dupe for this? I need to replace this and it was my favorite 🙁
I’m limited on options because I am severly allergic to shea butter

Does the color compare to Revlon lip butter in Pink Truffle? It looks very similar in the picture.

You had me at “chocolate”! I feel like I have no other choice but to get this now LOL. If you had written a one-word review – “chocolate!” I would still buy this. To match the chocolate bar eye palette, and to replace my beloved Clinique Pink Chocolate lipstick which has sadly become too brown and too deep a tone for my maturing complexion. Thank you Musey! <3 😀

Out of all the new shades this one peaked my interest the most which is surprizing to me because I am not a big “brown lippie” fan. I think this is almost a dark nude lip for me. It’s got a bit of mauveyness to it.

The shade is very very pretty and festive and you look gorgeous as always. You should do one detailed post on your skin regime, how you maintain such flawless skin 🙂
