Too Faced Taffy La Creme

Too Faced Taffy La Creme Lipstick ($21) is one of five new shades of La Creme Lipstick that launched with the Too Faced Haute Chocolate Spring 2014 Collection. This shade is permanent and won’t be available for a limited time.

It’s def a shade that isn’t for everyone….! I couldn’t really wear it well unfortunately! It’s one of those shades that gives me a zombie lip look! I wish I could wear it but I’m not sure this one is for me.

Taffy is called a pink marshmallow nude and that’s fairly accurate plus hey, it sounds freaking delicious. It has a lovely luminous shine and it embodies what a true cream lipstick formula should be. It’s creamy, hydrating, and beautifully shine. However, it’s a shade that just falls into every single small little natural line on my mouth. If you have dry lips it is going to have a very uneven, unflattering finish so exfoliate well prior to application and a little lip balm under it might be helpful as well.

The color is a nude pastel peach that will look best on fairer skin with less than pigmented lips. I have pigmented lips and it is opaque however, too much of it looks a bit patchy and uneven on my lips.

If you can wear it Too Faced Taffy La Creme Lipstick is likely going to be a winner for you….! However, for those with a warmer skin tone and pigmented lips might find it a challenge to use!

Zombie? Where is the Zombie? (*Looking around)

I think this looks nicer on you than you think Muse! 😉 I would love to be able to pull that color off but I don’t think I can.

It actually doesn’t look bad on you at all. Is just makes you look….subdued? But definitely not zombie lips. I’m just used to seeing you with more pop.

I agree with the others. Looks good on you, but will make me look Walking Deadish. I’m very fair and adding an almost no color on my lips; not good. I ordered all the new lippies but this one; it’s too pale for a pale princess like me. 😀

aw thanks robin I feel weird in it to me honest 😀 the others you’ll LOVE 😀 they are pigmented!

You can really pull off Nudes and Nude Pinks……I’m jealous!!! You look BEAUTIFUL! XO

I agree, doesn’t look bad on you but it’s a little to “mod” for you because you love rich pigmented lips usually in your fotd’s. I was rockin the zombie look today because I had chapped lips, and my coworker asked me “wheres your lips today?” LOL I almost always have a true lipstick on so I know it feels odd even when the consensus is that it looks ok.

lol indeed 🙂 very mod! LOL…oh no! same here, my lips are all kinds of chapped and looking white! ew!
