MAC OverSpiced Lipglass Review & Swatches
MAC Overspiced Lipglass ($15) is one of five MAC Lipglasses that will be available with the MAC Magnetic Nudes Collection on Boxing Day, December 26th.
It actually reminds me of a subdued, lighter version of the Estee Lauder Amber Halo Pure Color High Intensity Lip Lacquer I recently reviewed. Typically I avoid these types of nudes. My ideal nude lipstick or gloss has more peachy elements to it kinda like what you’d find in the Hourglass Cosmetics Femme Nude Lip Stylo shade selection.
Let’s take a look!
MAC OverSpiced Lipglass is called a dirty muted coral but where’s the coral?! Eh? It’s more of a tan peach to me with a good deal of beige. The color is fully opaque and has a cream finish. At first application I felt like it felt into the natural lines of my lips but after smoothing it on with the sponge applicator it settled quite smooth and even. I expected the shade to go on patchy as colors like this typically do for me but the gel-like consistency of the formula hugged my lips quite nicely.
I was delighted the lighter tan worked so well with me. It’s one of those lip shades that works beautifully with NARS Orgasm on cheeks.
Since it has the typical MAC Lipglass formula with a tacky finish it wears for a nice four hours without fading or migrating.
MAC Overspiced Lipglass is worth exploring if you love nude lipglosses.
I liked this one.
