Marc Jacobs Tonite Lights Glitter Dust4

Marc Jacobs Tonite Lights Glitter Dust ($32) is a limited edition Holiday 2013 product release that quite reminds me of Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eyeshadow. The brand is so new I didn’t expect a Holiday Collection from them so it was a pleasant surprised they release individual Holiday products as well as gift sets.

Let’s take a look at the Tonite Lights Glitter Dust.

Marc Jacobs Tonite Lights Glitter Dust3

Marc Jacobs Tonite Lights Glitter Dust is available in three shade selections and is marketed as a weightless sparkle finish metallic eyeshadow with long wear. It’s slightly confusing to call it metallic in one sentence and sparkle in the next but…shrug!

I only tried the shade Stagelight and essential it is all sparkly goodness. The formula has a creamy powder feel with a denser texture that a regular brush might have trouble picking up (you’ll also suffer from a good deal of fall out if you use a regular brush). I used a sponge applicator to press the color on and it worked perfectly! The texture is an exact dupe for Bobbi’s Sparkle Eyeshadows in my opinion. There isn’t a ton of color to be had here but more sparkle and you’ll be used to that if you already own and use Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eyeshadow.

Stagelight is a pretty sparkling white that reminds me of snow. It’s a color that looks fab paired up with TONS of mascara and eyeliner as it brings sparkle but not a ton of dramatic color allowing your liner and mascara to shine on through.

Of course, no one says you need to limit your use to eyes. This is great to dust on shoulders or your chest for a bit of sparkle!

If you dislike sparkle and you want full on pigment you need not apply here. These lack drama outside of the sparkle they provide unfortunately. However, if you’re a sparkle fan I’m positive you’ll find something to love here especially since the price is a spot on for Bobbi’s version and this particular color hasn’t been launched in Bobbi’s range so a little something new for fans of Bobbi’s version.

Get it now, for a limited time, at Sephora and Sephora.com.
