Released earlier in the Fall Paul & Joe Beaute Glossy Lip Color ($29) is hybrid gloss and lipstick formula that brings a little piece of Asian beauty to US shores.
With the color of a lipstick and the glossiness and shine of a traditional lipgloss this lip hugging moisturizing lip color is a pleasurable indulgence for lips!
Available in ten shades Paul & Joe Beaute Glossy Lip Color is a fairly new (and permanent) lip color that acts as a gloss and lipstick all in one. These comes in Paul & Joe’s whimsical packaging featuring a floral design on the topper and a pale beige tube making the outside as pretty as what’s inside.
The glosses have a flocked applicator that’s light covered in a sponge so it leans towards being more of a traditional plastic spatula that many Korean and Japanese brands use with glosses. This applicator saturates well with color and allows for easy application on lips. The formula has a light texture with a non-sticky consistency that wears for around three hours before showing some fading and wearing away by hour four. They have a very light fruity flavor and fragrance that’s pleasant and not overwhelming!

The formula has a lip hugging finish that gives a plushy look and a grip that doesn’t allow the color to migrate or feather. It’s quite nicely hydrating through the wear and the color although sheer at first builds to a nice opacity depending on the shade you purchase.
They are more of a gloss than a lipstick and remind me of products like L’Oreal Color Caresse Shine Stain and Shiseido Maquillage Essence Glamorous Rouge however, the texture is more of a gel-like consistency.

Paul & Joe Beaute Glossy Lip Color is a beautiful lipgloss experience! They give lips a nice shine, a good deal of color, and wear pleasantly with a hydrating texture that doesn’t dry lips out.
