When I posted this photo last week I got a ton of questions, “What are that?!” Well, I’m here to tell you it’s Sephora Pantone Precious Metal Mousse Shadow (and it’s on sale for $12) and you NEED it.

Loves it!

Sephora Pantone Precious Metal Mousse Shadow is available in two shade selections, Gold and Silver, and was released with the Sephora Pantone Universe Holiday 2013 Collection.

Originally $18 this is knocked down to $12 now and use promo code EXTRA20 to get an extra 20% Off that 12 bucks! Sweet deal right? But I’d pay full price and more if I had to as I LOVE this stuff.

I think the Pantone Universe Collection have had some hits and quite a few misses but Precious Metal Mousse Shadow falls in the massive hit section! This highly pigmented creamy eyeshadow has a liquid metal finish and looks like liquid gold in the pot. You can line your eyes with it or apply all over your eye lid for a gorgeous burst of metallic gold. The gel-like texture has a fluffy mousse consistency that’s creamy and easy to apply and blend onto lids. It sets in several seconds for a budge-proof wear that isn’t going anywhere until you remove it. Seriously, once applied it doesn’t crease or lose intensity for a solid 14 hours of wear on my drier lids. It has a certain grip to it so it should also wear well for oily lids.

I was worried the metallic finish would be frosty but this has a pure foiled gold effect that looks incredible on eyes as a soft wash of color or buily up for a pop of flashy color! And yes, as an eyeliner it looks pretty superb as well.

Needless to say this one has backup written all over it so when I saw it was on sale I grabbed another.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. Hi Muse! This looks lovely on you. I have been lemming bad for some gold and silver shadow for my blue eyes. I have so many other perfect shadows to wear with either gold or silver but every time I see some, I get scared that they are going to be frost city. Like you, I don’t do frosty. Especially on these 57 yr old eyes. These do look more metallic than frosty and I just might jump on them. But one question: much fallout? Thanks 🙂

thanks deb sorry delayed reply 😀 I hate frost but no worries this is def more metallic than frost thank god! none, it’s a cream so no fall out here!

This would be awesome in bronze & copper for the Summer. I used to have a Rimmel eye gloss in copper that looked great during the warm months & was so simple to use. I used to pair it up with UD’s Lip Gunk in Shifty (a golden copper gloss that smelled like coconut mocha).

yeah, I was one of those going “WHAT IS THAT!!?!??” and did some sleuthing and figured out what it was and scored one! I love it, too! I’ve used it as a sort of smudgy liner. It’s so beautiful and twinkly. I love – LOVE – twinkly stuff for my eyes! I agree totally, this stuff is great. I may need a backup!

With my yellow undertones I’m scared of colors like this but it looks so pretty on you, Muse!

    *gasp* Loot for the eyelids!

I love glittery washes like this – one of the reasons I’m so attached to my Chanel Illusion d’Ombre in Fantasme.

Does this work well as a glitter elsewhere (say, collarbones, sheerly)? I get so many compliments when I do that with Fantasme.

lol good description 😀 You can prob do it on cheeks if you want 🙂 although it is fairly pigmented! so you’d have to blend well!
